Definitely need to put some new books on my kindle before I go on holiday tomorrow. Ideally looking for a few books that follow on from each other, something easy for me read at the side of the pool that doesn't require too much concentration, I like romance sex, true stories, autobiographies, or crime similar to martina Cole books.
Any recommendations gratefully received.

Autobiographies/family books I've read recently and enjoyed - Shop Girl by Mary Portas, Spectacles by Sue Perkins, The Tent, The Bucket and Me by Emma Kennedy. DH read Absolute Pandemonium by Brian Blessed recently and said it was brilliant - often very funny.

If you want holiday reading for about 7-11 year old I recommend the Freewheeler series by Eric Johns. Can get them in paperback or on Kindle. About a bicycle gang living at the seaside. Very funny. Everything they do with best intentions comes out wrong but unintentionally they end up heroes. Kept my 9 year old happy when rained off beach.

I read the latest Kate Morton on holiday recently - was gripped! Think it's called the Lake House?

If it's not too late try Sea Change, The Beach Hut and the Beach Hut Next all by Veronics Henry.
