What are your teenagers reading at the moment?

I'm looking for something along the lines of His Dark Materials trilogy, Hunger Games, Divergent etc .....

Thank you for replying.

We have those, should have mentioned that.

Just ordered Red Queen which looks ok.

Anyone else?

How old are your dc? I assume they've read the Gone series if they like teen dystopias? The Wall by William Sutcliffe, Insignia series by SJ Kincaid, 5th Wave by Rick Yancey aren't particularly recent but perhaps a bit less well known?

The 2016 Carnegie shortlist might be a good place to start for general recent teen fiction. My 14 y/o dd particularly liked Lies we Tell Ourselves by Robin Talley, and another Patrick Ness, The Rest of Us Just Live Here.
Definitely not dystopian, and a bit on the girly romance side, but Rainbow Rowell's books esp Fangirl and the spin off Carry On (spoof slash fanfic turned into a book Grin ) come out for frequent re-reading.

Just thought of the Uglies series - again not partic. recent, but if they haven't read it & liked Divergent worth a try (I think available cheap from the Book People).

Slightly older than Divergent, Hunger Games etc but good:

Windsinger Trilogy - William Nicholson
Noughts and Crosses - Malorie Blackman
Garth Nix books
Spook's Apprentice series - Joseph Delaney
Junk/Lady:my life as a bitch - Melvyn Burgess

If they want some fluff : Meg Cabot books
