I actually love Ken Follet, but have read everything of his , but can't think of anyone much else like him. Lots of good historical stuff out there though - is it the 'saga' type you like?

For Ken Follet, I think it is more his style. I loved the fall of Giants trilogy but thought the pillars of the earth was OK but I really like lots of his stand alone shorter novels.
