A long shot but it just might work......

Hoping someone here can help me with a strange request.
I've been reading When Good Friends Go Bad by Ellie Campbell on my IPad, using the Kindle app.
I got to 98% with literally 5 minutes to go until the end. I had to step away for a few minutes, and when I came back imagine my surprise when the book had completely disappeared from my library, the cloud and my Amazon account!
I have since been told by Amazon that I downloaded this book using Amazon Unlimited, and as I had previously cancelled Unlimited and it's end date is today, that's why the book suddenly disappeared. I can purchase it for £2.99 but with only 2% left to read I'm pretty loathe to do this and spend money on it when it will only amount to about 5 minutes reading time.
I am therefore sending out an SOS on here to ask if anyone has read this book, and can perhaps tell me what happens at the very end.
I do have a pretty good idea of what probably happens, but would love to know for sure.
I know it seems like a shot in the dark, but maybe someone on here has read it and can help........please???
