Just want to take my mind off things and can't seem to concentrate on anything except chalet school books!

Can anyone suggest something a bit more adult please?

I wouldn't say they were trashy, but what about something like Georgette Heyer? Light, humorous and enjoyable.

I sometimes go for YA or short story collections when I have trouble concentrating.

Jojo Moyles's books are easy to read and are good stories. Not trashy perhaps though. Lisa Jewell too.
A bit 'trashier' might be Jilly Cooper or Jackie Collins. Fun and easy.

Rebecca Chance or Victoria Fox are usually good for easy, entertaining reads. Quite rude in places though!

Marian Keyes always make me laugh. Chick lit but not too trashy

Thank you for replying. I've got myself a Jackie Collins in the hope of distracting myself

The Seduction and Snacks series by Tara Sivec is hilarious and filthy. R L Mathewson's Neighbours from Hell series is enjoyable as well. Both are cheap on the kindle as well.

I haven't read any Jackie Collins for years but used to loved her books, entertaining old trash.

Just wanted to say thanks. I managed to read Chances by Jackie Collins and have just started Lucky which is next in the series. It was great and about the only thing that distracted me from all the other rubbish going on in my life at the moment.

Perfectly light and trashy - exactly what I've needed Grin
