I have just got into audiobooks and really enjoying them. Currently listening to 'The Patchwork Marriage' by Jane Green. What would you recommend I download next, please?

Me too :o Depends what you like, but I've been listening to Tess of the D'Urbervilles. I've also recently listened to Under Milk Wood, which was fabulous. I've been searching through our library's audio book catalogue - too much to choose from :)

Thank you! I want to have something else lined up for when I've listened to this one.

You might like to try The Uncommon Reader by Alan Bennett - it's quite short (about 2.5 hours) but very good.

Thank you. I have read Dawn French's first book but I best it's great to listen to too. I'm tempted.

Sue Townsend's The Woman who went to Bed for a Year. It is laugh out loud funny. Listen while I'm washing up or doing the ironing. Our library has downloadable audio books for free.

I really enjoyed Amitav Ghosh : Sea of Poppies, I missed motorway turn whilst listening to it on the way to work :)

That's one of my worries about listening to them in the car! Thanks.

I really enjoyed reading books by Sarah Waters, first Fingersmith, then The Little Strangers and last week - Tipping the Velvet

I think Fingersmith was the best with blood curdling plot!
