Into the darkest corner- I don't think I can finish it.

It's too bloody scary. I am going bed with my heart beating too fast, full of anxiety for Cathy. Is the ending too good for me to miss out on?

Yes, keep going with it - even if you need to sleep with the light on Wink

I've found it a bit hard to get into, but seeing these replies has convinced me to keep going.

I have read this, but can't even remember the ending; so it can't have been too alarming.

I thought it a bit daft, tbh.

I enjoyed it so would recommend keeping going. Enjoy!

Finished it last night. Wile I found it a real page turner I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. I just think the real world is horribly violent enough without reading ficitonalised violence. It will really stay with me but not in a good way.

I find fictionalised violence not so bad as real stuff on the news, because in fiction there is often a greater sense of justice.

It's definitely worth reading until the end. As I was reading I thought it would be traumatic for anyone who had been through DV.

I was gripped.

This book really annoyed me because she wrote about my local area, and clearly doesn't know Lancaster that well....but wrote as if she did. Just little things which irritated me throughout like how people spoke, and also no one here says "The Market Street".... it's Market Street. It irritated me so much I've forgotten the ending.

And if you like this then give 'Revenge of the Tide' a try. Her second novel - both excellent IMO.

I enjoyed this book, the author replied to one of my tweets too. Sad of me but I was pretty pleased about that lol
