I've done WW before but went to meetings and did ProPoints. I've just signed up to online with Smart Points/No Count and there is a frustrating lack of information Confused

Can anyone tell me if potatoes and sweet potatoes are free on No Count? The only list I can find suggests all fruit and veg are (apart from avocados) but doesn't seem complete.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, both potatoes and new potatoes are on no count. Have you downloaded the app? You can put in the settings whether or not you're tracking or doing no count. If you set it to no count then those foods will be highlighted green for you so it's then easy to check whether something is no count or not.

Oh that's great, thank you! Does it matter how they're cooked?

I remember from last time that there was stuff like you had to have a certain amount of healthy oil per day but I can't find anything like that this time. I just can't find any instructions at all to be honest Confused

Downloading the app now-hopefully it's more forthcoming than the website!

Hi, I joined yesterday too, having been on ProPoints between kids (& doing really well on it). I plan to count at least at the beginning and have used the app to count yesterday quite easily.

I want to lose 20kg which has crept on over the last 2 years of being pregnant with, & breastfeeding DS2.

How's your day been Maximum? I did a no count day and used 4 weeklies on quorn fajita strips and semi skimmed milk. It's been fine but I'm definitely in the 'start of a new diet focus' zone so I'm sure it'll get more irritating over the course of the next few weeks.

Oops, sorry! I didn't check the thread! So today is 6 days in. 1st weighing & I've lost 2.3kgs, so very pleased.

I did about 33% more fit points than it suggested. I calculated everything it was possible to then guessed a few meals (dinner at a relative's, plus we were at a festival on Sat & I shared a wood-fired pizza with DH).

I aim not to use my weekly or exercise points in my meal budget because it gives me wriggle room when it's not possible to be precise. I am also not fastidious enough to measure and log all milk for tea etc so the unused points atone for that! 😆

Meant to say that I've got my Jawbone Up24 linked to the WW app so it takes my activity automatically.

Hi everyone, I just joined online today. I am very disappointed with the lack of info to be honest, I really haven't a clue what the new plan is about. I find it easy to search for foods and track but have no idea of the overall principles or what no count is about. Also finding it hard to find recipes. Hopefully I will get the hang of it.

I lost 9 stone back in 2008-2009 and it was just good old 'points' back then, so this is all new to me. I have just finished a degree and gained three stone, one for each year Hmm Really want to try and loose as much of it as possible before graduation in December!

Hopefully we can keep chatting here to help each other out!

There's loads of info online! Log onto eSource and click on the food section. All the plan details are there including No Count and there are loads of recipes. I've attached some photos all from the same page.

Is it ok to do no count one day, and tracking the next, and so on? I can't find anything to say it's allowed or not.

I lost 6lbs last week so I'm very pleased with that!

That's fantastic, well done!! Smile I really hope I have a loss like that next week. Yes, it's fine to mix no count and pointing as long as it's not on the same day. Just choose what you are doing each day and make sure you keep track of your weeklies.

Oh fab :) I think I lost so much simply because I'm so very, very fat 😆 I'm sure it'll settle down to a more reasonable weekly loss.

Hello! checking back in as today is my weigh-in for end of week 2. I've lost another 900g, so a total of 3.2kg in 13 days (I started Tuesday 30th).

That's awesome! Have you swapped any of your fit points? I've earned just over 100 but have used about half of them 😬

I joined last week - first weigh in this Thursday. Marking place as interested in reply on for points

I haven't been using my fit points (64 last week) or many of my weekly points. I'm currently getting 6 points per day for partial breastfeeding, but my monster only has 2 feeds a day, so I'm not sure whether I should be using them all, hence trying to stick within my daily limit.

Oscha · 12/09/2016 14:13

Oh gosh, I use all my weeklies! I'm due to weigh in tomorrow evening so I guess I'll find out then whether eating my fit points has made a difference...

If you're doing 2 feeds a day, that sounds like the definition of 'partial' BF-I'd eat the 6 p/d extra if I were you!

Do you use the app? It calculates the Fit Points available to eat doesn't it?

Aquasport · 12/09/2016 21:51

I'm using the app but I thought they were not for eating, just recording. However useful to know I can use them (for wine GrinWine)

Has anyone ordered the starter pack ? The thing I am missing doing it on line is having the books to sit and browse through . I am not finding the site very user friendly other than tracking . It doesn't seem a lot different to fitness pal which is free .

Off to work now , good luck everyone .

There are two places to view FitPoints:

The one on the food tracker page it says FitPoints remaining for the week (in this case, 3): that's the number you can eat & should go up with exercise, but will go down if you eat them. You choose in settings whether to swap weekly points first or FitPoints first .

On the FitPoints page it shows how many you've earned of your target (6 of 44 in my case: I'm at the beginning of my week!)

Hi I've joined yesterday. I'm doing online and no count. Is this the right thread Or the main one ?
I need to lose almost 2 stone. I've done WW before and have always got on really well with it, but the weight has crept on me after a really stressful year as my mum has been ill and in hospital and is now in a nursing home with complex physical needs and her dementia has worsened.
I'm trying no count - it suited me last time. I've tried all sorts of diet plans - 5:2 it gave headaches and I wanted to cheat, intuitive/ emotional eating - I don't always know when I'm hungry. Paul McKenna etc etc
So, any advice, tips, support welcome

Hi nell we're not an "official" thread but you're very welcome. Smile

Some of us are counting points (I am) & some not. It seems you can mix & match days of points & no count (not on the same day) so I might give no count a go at some point. Good luck!

P.S. Flowers for what you're going through with your Mum. It must be very stressful.
