(Hope I haven't overstepped starting the new thread, I was quite active on the last one for a while but fell off the wagon and the thread!)

Anyone feel like setting some goals? I would like to lose 7lbs by 6th July.

I've just joined and I'd like to lose 5kgs by the end of July.

I've done WW before (pro points) and I'm finding the smart points a bit of a challenge and a huge change from what I was used to.

Welcome maitland. It's funny, I tried ProPoints and never got on with them but Smart Points just clicked for me. One thing I did yesterday was take a couple of pages in my bullet journal and wrote down the points for my most eaten foods. It makes meal planning and tracking much easier. On the next two pages I wrote down some recipes I want to try from the Eat book and also a WW cookbook I have. I don't want to start always cooking the same things.

Thanks wish Smile

I made delicious fajita soup today - hugely filling and low points. I had leftover chicken and peppers from fajitas last night so I threw it into the instant pot with garlic, more peppers, a chopped onion, a tin of tomatoes, chicken stock and salt, pepper, cumin, chilli powder and paprika. Absolutely delicious and worked out at 3 or 4 points for 4 full mugs. Spag bol for dinner tonight with a smaller portion left for lunch tomorrow. You can eat so well on WW but it does take planning and prep.

Going to have a 3 point WW bar now with a cup of coffee in front of the telly.

Half a pound off , pleased about that as my walking must have cancelled out my eating Grin. All over it this week.

So I've been on the scales this morning (weigh day is Sunday) and I've put on weight!!

Feeling really disheartened now, I've been tracking everything, haven't gone crazy with the fruit, I've cut all sugar and I'm now heavier than I was when I ate rubbish all the time.

I'm not bloated or hormonal so I'm really confused. And a bit pissed off as I've financially committed to a 12mth plan that, so far, isn't working.

Only weigh on the official scales as your weight will move daily. We spoke in class about the non scale victories last night which resonated with me. Thinking about clothes fit , health benefits , better skin etc.

I've put on 2kgs since Monday :(

I'm wondering if I'm not eating enough - I'm using my daily points but not going into my weeklies.

I don't go to meetings, so use my bathroom scales and I don't move them at all during the week.

I know I need to exercise more but I'm struggling with a recurring back injury :(

Welcome back mrsjorah, thanks for the new thread and welcome maitland sorry it's not going so well at the moment weight wise Flowers

2lbs off this week so that's 10.6lbs in 3 weeks. I'm not sure how much I've said about my weight but I pretty much need to lose half of me so a long way to go but I'm feeling pretty happy with the progress so far. I know I might not forever but I do feel like a switch has flipped with my 'fuck it' feelings, for example I've had an open packet of Oreos in the cupboard for a week and a half now, I haven't had enough points this week to warrant any but in the past I'd have eaten the lot thinking 'oh well start again tomorrow' but I haven't.

I've done my first week and put on a pound. I am massively disheartened. I didn't eat all of my points some of the days and didn't go into my weekly points. The woman who weighed me said that this was probably why I didn't lose, so I'm trying to eat more. I'm so fat, it's an effort doing anything in this warmer weather and I just want a bit more energy, but instead I got fatter. Sad

Eat your points - because if you don't you run the risk of binge eating or your body hanging onto more weight . Just a little bit of walking can help to start with !

Thanks for the new thread Mrs and commiserations for those of you who are struggling a bit at the moment. Please don't be disheartened- give it 4 weeks and I'm sure you will see the benefits.

Well I out on 1lb this week, not surprising as ate and drank far too much last week - think I celebrated getting to gold a bit too much.
However that ends now. I have drawn a line and I will start tracking again (haven't tracked for at least 3 weeks).

Current weight is 10st 5lbs. We go on holiday 4 weeks today and I would love to be under 10stone when we go. Will be using the thread for motivation!

All the no counters in my class swear by the overnight oats recipe for breakfast !
Lots of water and plan your shopping / food.
I've been getting a weekly delivery so I have everything in and don't impulse buy.

Urgh I keep forgetting how high coconut things are on ww, a little pot of coconut yogurt wants 14 bloody points, and I got caught making curry the other day too. I know it's all fat and little protein but I'm so used to coconut stuff, I keep buying it and then thinking what a waste

Report
KenDoddsDadsDog · 11/06/2016 07:07

I know , I used to buy the little pots of coconut in the supermarket . They're about all of my daily points !

Final meal tonight before my weigh in tomorrow morning.

Just had a really nice dinner and I'm proud of how I've done this week. I've cut all added sugar, not had any junk food/chocolate/biscuits/cakes etc and I've increased my vegetable intake by at least 100%.

I'm having meat/salad sandwiches for lunch and veggies with my dinner - much better than my previous 8 X mini spring rolls or a chicken nugget sandwich.

I'll be crushed tomorrow if I haven't lost weight but at the end of the day I've had a much healthier week AND gotten my portion sizes under control (I've swapped to a normal size dinner plate instead of using my 'Christmas Dinner' plate!).

Weigh in day +2kgs :(

I was fully expecting this but I'm still gutted over it. I'm 5ft 2in and weigh 90kgs.

I joined WW to get my weight down to a more manageable level but instead I've gained weight in my 1st week.

I don't get it.

Are you going to meetings or doing the online plan?

I'm online so spoke to one of the live chat consultants and she was really good. Told me to eat like a Hobbit (so every couple of hours) and to eat more lean protein.

She also told me to try on clothes I was wearing a few weeks ago to see if they're any looser. It's just got cold here so I'm back in jeans/jumpers which I haven't worn for ages so I don't know if they're any looser or not.

Feeling quite hopeful for this week.
