Raw carrot 0 smart points..

Scanned a bag of peeled and chopped carrots batons from sainsburys apparently 1 point !?? Nothing added ...

Because the scanner probably doesn't know it's carrots so will give points based on NVs. If you know it's 0pp veg then there's no need to scan

If you use the nutritional values all fruit and veg will show as having a SmartPoint value. However as you know WW have assigned a 0 Point value to all veg and most fruit. Someone has input the details onto the app but there was no need for them to do so.
