Will I need the Shop book if I join online?

Hi!
I'm planning to take the plunge and do something about my weight which can no longer be blamed on dc2 as she's now 1 Blush. I did ww about two ish years ago and bought the super duper at home pack and tracked online ( this was before the wonder that is the iPhone though!). I've just been looking for my journal and shop/eat out books and I think I've thrown them outShock. If I join online now is the app super easy to plan from or is it worth still buying the shop book to make easier changes eg seeing all ice lollies listed by points value?

I don't use the book at all, just the app Smile. In fact - shh - there's a free app that's just as good, and if I remember rightly it has a barcode scanner which the official WW one doesn't have. I'm joining for a month to get myself going but I find the database a bit thin compared to MFP etc.
