Hi,
I've decided to finally do something about my weight and am going along to my first meeting on Thursday. Has anyone got any advice on the best things to buy there? Is it worth getting the calculator?

Well done for decided to take that first step.

I would say yes to the calculator -I keep it in my handbag and whip it out at the supermarket, so very handy.

and also the magazine - it's cheaper at class, than the supermarket.

I don't really use alot of their stuff, and get by fine without. If you sign up to monthly direct debits you get e-source online which is invaluable for tracking what you have eaten, recipes and chat etc.

Have a flick through the recipe books before buying - just to check you like whats in there.

this website is fantastic with loads of ideas

and join them on the WW thread here - they won't mind and will welcome you

Good Luck!

Welcome I started again last week! Yes to the calculator! It's invaluable! I've been known to whip it out in the supermarket ! The magazine will inspire you plus if you fancy a choc treat I'd recommend rich toffee or choc caramel biscuit!

Brilliant thanks so much! I'm excited to start and want to get stuck in and work really hard as I've struggled the last few years trying to lose any weight.

I just use the calculator included on the app so I would personally say no to calculator. I dont buy much at the meeting, I do really like the eating out guide and it was half price last week (suspect a new one coming in january) good luck.
