I am about to start trying to lose weight again. To be honest I'm always trying to lose weight, but I have decided to join WW again this week. The minute I decide to do this, ok within 5 minutes I start bingeing, stuffing my face with chocolate. Does anyone else do this? I have tried Paul mckenna's mehod and I have lost 2 stone with this, but I can't seem to get any more off. How can I get over this feeling ? I have been dieting pretty much constantly since I was 17 and I find it so depressing. A friend of mine joined WW 6 months ago, she has lost 2 stone and I have stayed the same. Any ideas?

isn't it depressing though? I can't believe I've been like this since I was 17. The only thing that ever makes me lose weight is exercising like a lunatic, but again I find it hard to get going again after I've stopped for a while. Has anyone kept weight off by completely giving up dieting ?

I will definitely keep looking. It's the female holy grail. What a film that would be... !!

Hi Confused, I am extremely overweight and last September decided I MUST do something about it. I didn't diet, just decided to make sensible choices when buying and eating food eg: cutting down on fats etc. I did quite well on this and in February I joined WW. I have found their eating plan very similar to what I was already doing and have now lost a total ( since Septemv=ber) of almost 3 stones. I can eat more or less what the rest of the family eat and if I want chocolate, I buy the WW chocolate bars. I have gone down by almost 3 dress sizes and whilst I still have a long way to go I feel so much better about myself. Also, hubby feels much better about me and we have lots of fun when he investigates which parts of me have lost the most weight! That is an incentive for me to carry on!I hope you manage to find the motivation for you to succeed this time!

Thanks jaanpa. That was really helpful. I'm going to look into weight watchers again. I told my friend who is nearly 4 stone slimmer than me about the chocolate binge and she said she does the same thing sometimes so that made me feel so much better. Congratulations on your weight loss.

Dont buy chocolate.
Dont buy sweets
Dont buy high fat foods.

Just dont buy it. It's helped me enormously when getting cravings for sweet things.

I buy myself some WW ginger and lemon biscuits (which come in pairs of individually packed biscuits to help deter scoffing). I also buy some Sainsburys Be Good To Yourself cereal bars. They are worth 1 point and definitely cover the sweet cravings.

I've lost 32lbs since January. I've had takeaway fish and chips for dinner tonight because I know I can make up for it by eating sensibly for the next few days. Digging on my allotment helps to build up activity points.

Write down everything you eat religiously. I do WW online and it's a huge help.

I also had a sweet/chocolate/snack amnesty the weekend before I started my diet. So I 'cleared' my cupboards/fridge by eating up all the snacks
