Anyone care to talk to me about the Cambridge Diet and councellors?

I've decided to take the plunge and try the CD. I've battled with my weight all my life. Until I had dc, I was winning the battle what with gym and control of what I ate.

For the last 3 years though (youngest is 3yo) my weight has steadily increased and I am now 6 stone overweight .

I'm desperate and need help and support.

How important is your CD counsellor in regards to your success would you say? Do they offer much in the way of support or is it just a flying visit, pick up your packs for the week and off again?

I phoned my nearest councellor and have arranged to see her on Monday. I know it's hard to guage on the phone what someone is like but let's say we didn't 'click'. She wasn't very helpful and I felt my questions were like getting blood out of a stone.

Do you think I should arrange to see another councellor, or are my illusions of an inspirational, motivator a pipe-dream?

Any hints, tips or success stories much appreciated - I'm scared witless at the mo and wonder if I'm doing the right thing.

SpookyMadMummy - thank you, only just seen your reply.

Went to my councellor today and she was fab. Really good to talk to and she put my mind at ease over a few issues. Funny how my first impression was so completely wrong .

Thanks again though for the offer.
