One week until ball - help please to fit into dress!!

I'm going to a ball next Friday & to my great shock found today my dress is very very snug over my tummy - have bought magic knickers which make slight improvement but think am going to have to follow some short term mega weight loss plan so I will feel more comfy.
Help & ideas please!!!
P.s am going to try & go for jog 1st thing in mornings, is it best to do this before or after breakfast?

I'm sure i read it's better to exercise on before you eat cos lets face it you'll drink loads of water which will fill you up a bit but your going to come in starving and eat again if even if you've already had breakfast.
If it was me, not sensible advice but I'd basically eat as little as possible bewteen now and then. Very short term but you can lose 5lb's easily in a week but you'll over shoot when you start eating again and it buggers up your metabilism but you will look great on friday.

I had to fit into a bridesmaid dress in march - size 8 after having a baby 6 months earlier - I had 6 weeks to lose 8 pounds. I did it by stomach exercises to tone up and eating ryvita for breakfast and lunch with a healthy 'proper' meal in the evening. Boring but it worked.
