I haven't SW'ed for a while now (and have the extra stone and a half to prove it!), but I agree about the processed stuff. How about a day with lots of fruit? I used to use a lot of Quorn, but used wholewheat pasta instead of white. Also did mainly green days and my staple lunch was a jacket potato with Baked beans adn cottage cheese (sounds revolting, but is actually really nice). You could also do a shepherd's pie on a red day, but use mashed swede and carrot for the topping. Or have a chicken breast and veg for supper.
Bloody Heck! If it's that easy, why aren't I doing it myself?!!!

All free foods are processed. Are you doing a different Slimming World from everyone else? Lean meat, fish, poultry, lots of fresh fruit and vegetables on red days. Potatoes, pasta (with home made fresh sauce),rice (ditto), lots of fresh fruit and vegetables on green days. If you are eating lots of processed foods it's your choice.

I have been on Sw since August and I have never ate so little processed food! I do have quorn mince occasionally and occasionally quorn sausages but they are the only processed foods I eat on the diet. I usually do green days and try to cook everything from fresh this means you lose weight quicker too. Tonight I am having a green roast so 113 grams of chicken broccoli, roast potatoes, carrots roast parsnips and mushy peas. For my lunch I had egg fried rice made with onions, garlic, mushrooms, peppers, peas rice and eggs.

Also I have never touched pasta and sauce or mugshots or anything else like that , that is free because I just don't see how these can fill you up as much as a homemade meal. Yes they are quick but it's just as quick to whip up an omlette.

I am also a bit at this!!! There is no reason to eat any processed stuff, if you don't want to!! Why aren't you eating meat, fish, veg and salad? Not to mention potatoes, pasta and rice with yummy home made sauces?

TBH, I do occasionally have a pasta n sauce, but apart from that the most processed thing I eat are baked beans! Do they count??

My consultant a few years ago used to go on about the wonders and ways with Smash could never understand what the big toodoo was about boiling up a few potatoes and mashing them myself much rather that than eat Smash. But yes loads of processed crap. But you don't have to eat it, make your own it's far tastier and not alot slower than opening a packet.

a quick lunch idea is veg chow mein.
add chopped red onions , garlic, peppers, mushrooms etc to a pan with 2-3 tbs of soy sauce and the same amount of worcester sauce cover until cooked. Boil some egg noodles for 4 mins then mix all together. It's very quick and very tasty and free on green. Perk up salads by dressing them with balsamic vinegar. You could make rice salads, pasta salads , cous cous with roasted veg, make taboulah with bulgar wheat. There are so many options get the SW magazine from your group there are lots of meal ideas in there. Good Luck.
