What to do?

Am genuinely looking for advice here. I have a friend who I have known from our schooldays and she has become overweight over the years. We were recently all together on holiday and it was apparent just how unfit our friend was - she couldn't walk up and down the hill we were on without stopping for breath. Since then have been aware of the fact that she can't really walk any distance - even on the flat.
So, over the years i have been really supportive of her trying to change her diet and she is currently aiming (and succeeding) to lose weight albeit very gradually.
What I would really like to know is whether there is anything helpful in expressing my surprise that she can't really walk around anywhere and at our age that is just not normal. Or, am I best just shutting up and continuing to be supportive of her weight loss efforts.

Nah, I'm sure she realises she's unfit and effectively disabling herself by allowing herself to get this way

She's losing weight, so continue to support that?
