I'm doing it from the book - "Neris and India's Idiot proof diet". It's low-carb for life basically - less extreme and more do-able than Atkins, especially after the initial first couple of weeks. First week I felt like crap, second week I felt fantastic. I'm not missing the bread, pasta and cereal at all. Kind of missing rice a bit though - curry just isn't the same without it! I think you need a lot of determination and support to get through the first week, but after that, it's a doddle.

Hi, I've been doing this diet since about the 12th feb and have lost 8lb's so far.
My dd is almost 3 and I've never really lost my tummy - after being very slim pre-pregnancy.

I've tried weightwatchers and slimming world and the original Atkins but couldn't maintain any of them AND so didn't lose anything.

I'm a bit disappointed with the weight loss on this eating plan so far but to put it into perspective ....

  1. I want to lose 19lbs in total so 8lbs is a steady healthy weight loss in the time I have been doing it
  2. I've lost 6cm off my tummy
  3. 6cm off my waist
  4. 4cm off my hips
  5. 2cm off each arm

I find not being allowed fruit yet very difficult and I love nice bread but on the whole I'm sticking to it. I'm currently in Phase 2 - Linseed Oil bread week. ugh!

You have to have willpower but at least you can eat Green & Blacks Dark Choc !!!!
