Only if you have issues with gluten. It's more expensive and as far as I know doesn't taste as nice so I wouldn't actively eat gluten free bread/pasta unless I had to

Better in what respect? In terms of weight loss, neither is great. It is a bulk building food, so great for muscle growth and children growing, not a fat loss food at all due to the severe carb load of it. It is a processed, high calorie food. If you have gluten sensitivity or Coeliac disease, then of course it is not ok to eat gluten pasta etc otherwise, it is fine in moderation and as part of a healthy lifestyle.

I'm a coeliac & find GF pasta has more carbs and calorie than wheat based pastas, so no, not better for weight loss.
