Once I've lost the weight, can I use 5:2 to keep it off?

Just after some advise please, nearly lost 2.5 stone with Cambridge and looking at what longer term plan I can use. I still have about 10lbs to go to hit target which should be in about a month.

I am wondering if anyone has lost a large amount of weight and used 5:2 as a way of keeping the weight off? I don't mind hunger so I don't think 2 days is going to bother me, and at least those 2 days will counteract any naughty things the other 5!

Has anyone tried this or something similar please?
