Twinklestar2 · 13/02/2016 19:03

I have yoyoed with the same stone since the beginning of last year. Getting fed up now but need some motivation to stick with it. Anyone else in the same boat? I'm so near yet so far!

Will be weighing in tomorrow and posting all food eaten. Feel free to join me!

Hi twinkle, can I please join you? I lost a stone last summer, have put back on 1/2 but overall still have a stone to go.
Are you following any particular diet?

Yes me. It's so hard to get the motivation to lose a stone isn't it? But my best friend has been sticking to slimming world for the past 6 months and has managed it. So the heat is on as she looks great!

We're off to Portugal in April for 2 weeks so want to lose it by then if possible.

I joined David Lloyd at Christmas so have been gradually upping the exercise so am now doing 3 yoga classes a week and a lot of swimming.

This has toned me and I've shed the weight gained over Christmas but now need a solid weight loss plan to drop the stone.

I'm going with slimming world and have found it very healthy and haven't felt hungry.

However I went out dancing last night and am rather hungover today so have been really bad.

Back on it tomorrow and will weigh in at some point but last weight was 11 stone 6 lbs (I am 5 foot 7)

Hello both!

I have lost weight successfully in the past with weight watchers but I don't like smart points as the don't fit in with my lifestyle. I do like their no count diet and lost loads with it last year when I was on maternity leave, but now as a busy working mum, I don't have time to sit and eat porridge every morning and boil eggs at lunchtime!

So I've switched to my fitness pal, which I used to lose weight a couple of years ago, before I had my son.

Will weigh tomorrow morning and post my menus too.

Looking forward to getting slimmer with you!

Hi, I'm on my way to losing a stone (and improving my previously awful eating habits in the process!). I signed up for a personal diet plan, which I've been following and shockingly really enjoying. It cuts out alcohol for the initial 6 weeks, which I'm now used to, and is low in sugar, but other than that hasn't been a hardship as I've been eating really nice, satisfying meals.

I agree, that final stone is a tricky one, I've been trying and failing for literally years to muster the motivation to stick with something!

Bitterlemon - could you post a sample daily menu?

Yes, me' I'm 10 stone 12 and would love to be 10. I've lost weight before doing low carb but I can't face doing it again. I put most of my weight on on my tummy so low carb is good as it stops the bloating. I've got loads of lovely clothes I can't wear at the moment but I can't bear to throw them out. I've thought about SW but it looks confusing and high carb!

I got weighed at the doctors yesterday and nearly cried at being 12 stone. I have a wedding to go to in may and need to drop the love handles and pot belly. Anyone know a good workout routine as i havent got the money to hire a personal trainer or meal plan

I'm in, I've got a holiday in May and would like to get just over a stone off. I installed MFP 2 weeks ago so hopefully counting calories and moving more will get the weight off.

Can I join you all? I have been putting on weight the last few months. What was 7lbs turned into about 4 is not a stone. Have a busy year of hens weddings and holidays coming up so would love to shift this stone and feel better about myself. I'm starting right now. I hope to have the most of it gone by easter and if hopefully the full stone gone by mid April two months away totally do able?!

Hello me. I can't face the pain of hunger and the halitosis but so desperately need to lose one stone. I am only 5.2".

I have a 10lb goal for an April holiday. I just have no willpower at a weekend. I ate giant buttons scampi fries and wine for dinner last night. Shock. I'm 9st 9 and weigh in on Fridays. Good luck everyone.

Welcome everyone. I'm 5ft 2 also. And I just weighed in at 9St 10lbs. I too lack willpower

I'd like to lose about 9 pounds, I'm only 5ft so no hiding any extra weight. I've put on about 4 pounds since new year which is really annoying as I didn't gain any weight over xmas but I've got into the habit of drinking most nights and nibbling.

BloodyDogHairs · 14/02/2016 11:44

I've faced the scales and I'm 11st 7 (5ft 3), I'm going to set my 1st goal of 8lbs so that will take me into the 10's.

My house needs gutted today so hopefully burn some calories!

Welcome everyone!

I just weighed and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm 10st 9 so even losing 10lbs would be great.

What's everyone had for breakfast?

I will try and join you all too. I'm really rubbish at this but the stone has got to go (2 would be great).

Weighed in this morning at 10st 12 and at only 5ft 2 its not great.
May have to start tomorrow as the brioche bun with butter and jam probably wasn't the best start to the day Blush

Blib - you can still have a good rest of day!

Had scrambled eggs on a slice of brown toast, a coffee out of my coffee machine and a cup of tea. Must remember to drink water too!

Shepherds pie for dinner Smile

Can I join? I've been losing the same 3llbs for about a year. Lose a few pounds then relax because I think I'm doing well then put them straight back on. Stupid and annoying. I'm trying to walk 10,000 steps a day and eat about 1400/1500 cals. I have to move more because I can't face eating less! I'm 5'8" and weigh 12 stone 7lbs. I want to be 11 stone 10llbs as that puts me into healthy BMI. So 11lbs to lose.

I'm doing the same SmellTheGlove, I bought a pedometer the other day. I can get plenty of steps in during the week but not at the weekend when I'm home with the DCs most of the time. This evening I paced up and down in the kitchen whilst tea was cooking to get a few more in!

Twinklestar2 · 14/02/2016 22:16

How's everyone's day been?

Please to say I ended on 1000 Cals plus took baby out for a long walk.

Mine's wasn't great, I went food shopping on a empty stomach so I've been grazing on all the tasty treats.

I'm definitely back on track tomorrow, I've planned my walk with the dog's then swimming at night with the DC's.

Can I join? 5'6 and 10 and a bit stone (no scales 😄)
I'm a real pig, it's amazing I'm not bigger, but I get atrocious headaches if I don't eat constantly restrict calories or miss meals. I'm going to try low carving which worked getting down to 8 stone post baby. That's not my goal now 9 would be fab.
I have a Fitbit and hit 10,000 5/6 out of 7 days.

I'd like to join. I've ended up at 74kg (11st something??) and would like to be 64kg (just short of 10 and a half). I'm 5'9". Youngest DC is bloody 3 now, I really need to kick myself up the arse or it will be here forever. I carry it around my middle and hate the feeling of spilling over my waistband.

No idea how to do it. I might start with cutting snacks and booze and getting to the gym 3xPW.

My little one is 3 months and dieting is soo hard when ur exshusted and you have spent the last year eating what ever you want!! Im 5.9 and would like to get back to 8 and a half stone (i have a small frame) so ive just got a stone to lose. I dnt fit in any of my clothes and love fashion and looking good so im really motivated to losing it. Best thing ive found is doing workout dvds. The zumba one is fun and im embarressed to say it but charlotte crosbys (vile girl of geordy shaw) dvd is really good and easy to follow. I just calorie count amd have no more than 1200 cals a day and try to do a dvd 5 times a week. My husband put on more than me during my pregnancy haha and has lost 1 and a half st in 5 weeks!!! Its alot of faff making everything from scratch bt it really really works. My mum has lost 4 stone from it. Treat urself to a beaaaut dress in the size u want to be and use it as a goal. Ive just done that and spent a fourtune so i will do anything to fit in it for my husbands 30th in april. Also no drink 😩Instanly put on 3lbs if i drink. Xxx

Sorry Twinklestar only just seen your question. I've been given a selection of breakfast, lunches and dinners to choose from, so for eg yesterday I had: b.fast was fruit and yogurt smoothie (seriously delicious, it's like a milkshake and feels really indulgent!), lunch was tuna mayo and spinach bagel and an apple and a handful of brazil nuts, then for dinner I had chicken korma (homemade and yummy). They've sent me recipes to make all the dinners, and breakfasts and lunches are quicker things like eggs on toast, soup etc.
