I want to lose a stone, a bit more would be fab but 1stone would still be amazing and still hard work.

I am going to write on here regularly and put how much I weigh, what crap I ate, what worked and what the struggles are.

Does anyone not have loads to lose but just roughly a stone for an upcoming event/ wedding/ baby weight/ post op etc, That needs to be supported but also told off if you eat to many crisps or chocolate?

If so, put your weight and why you want to lose a stone and let's get rid of the belly!!

So I will start

I'm 5ft 6 and weigh 10stone 7lbs

Reason - I really would love for my weight to begin with a 9! I lost my baby weight a few years ago and got down to 9st 7 and I felt great, my belly almost disappeared and I could wear a vest top with jeans and felt really confident. But now the spare tire is back and so are the baggy tops, and I need to sort it out.

Today
I have had 3 glasses of water
Chocolate balls with my toddler Blush
Homemade potato salad (about a cupful)
3 slices of salami

So I have eaten crap so far but I'm struggling with all the Xmas chocolate everywhere. Please tell me someone else is eating crap too but wants to lose weight? Xmas Confused

I'll join you! I'm 5'3" and 9st12lb, and would like to be 9 stone. Not massively overweight, just a bit flabby and sluggish. I was 11st3 after having DD 18m ago, got down to 9st7 then she became ill and I've basically had a year of 'can't be arsed'. I'm aiming at 12 weeks to lose 12lbs. My meals are reasonable, I need to cut out the snacking. DH and I have agreed to do dry January which should help, as along with the wine tends to come Pringles and ice cream! I have the spare tire too, which combined with a weak core makes me look 6m pregnant by the evening. I signed up to Mutu system (12 week exercise program to repair diastasis recti) and didn't finish it, so need to start that again.
I've been reading about sirt foods this weekend, posted a question about it to deafening silence....there is a 'quick fix' 3 week plan which is a bit hardcore, but I might try replacing one meal with a green juice. I often have sandwiches or toast for lunch and ditching bread seems to make a big difference for me.

Today I had

Porridge with seed mix and an apple.
Several cups of builder's tea and one green tea.
Minestrone soup for lunch, only one big, handsawn slice of yummy bread.
The plan is to have chicken risotto for tea, but will serve mine with extra veg.

Oooh me!

I'm just over 5' and today weighed 9st11, I'd like to weigh about 9st, for a healthy bmi and to just feel a bit better.

Today I've eaten 2 slices of seedy toast with peanut butter and will be having pie for dinner.

I'm hoping to do lots of exercise to tone up as well but we'll see how that goes....

Good luck everyone!

Me too!

5'3.5 - I only found out about the .5 when I was measured at the hospital a few months ago Grin and 10st 1.5lb this morning - 5.5lbs gain over the xmas holiday.

Tonight will be my last fuckit meal with rhubarb crumble, custard and wine. I would've had the last mince pie but some bugger beat me to it! I'm being a bit ambitious but I reckon I can lose 1/2st and tone up for when DD comes home in mid February for a couple of weeks (not seen her since September Sad) and the stone for when I fly out to have a girly fun week and to help bring back her excess baggage in July.

I've just made a big veggie soup and fruit salad to take to work and I've got chicken thighs marinating to go in the slow cooker in the morning. I just need to find a pair of pants that look presentable for work - 2wks stuffing my face in comfy leggings and baggy tops was probably not a good idea!

Yes this thread is perfect for me.

Been 10st2 ish lightest since having Dc who is now nearly 4. Before I got pg I was 9st2 and felt great. Need to get back into those clothes. I would love to have it gone in 6 weeks.

I am obsessed with crisps so have given them up for January. None so far. Proper healthy eating starts tomorrow.

Thanks for the thread OP.

Hello and welcome! And welcome to anymore that want to join throughout 2016. We will be a stone lighter this time next year, we will we will we will!!

I know there are a lot of weight loss threads but it's nice for people who all have the same target and we all seem to be 8st-10st ish so not obese, but bordering on overweight and want to do something about it. I find losing a stone difficult so moaning that I only lost 2lbs to someone on a thread that wants to lost 10stone may not make them feel great but we can moan at each other! Smile

I did a 15 minute cardio workout at home today and was knackered, I abandoned dinner and just had cheese and crackers before throwing what's left away, I then had 8 Ferraro Roche. Blush but without a proper lunch or dinner and a bit of exercise I'm hoping it's not too bad!

Back at work tomorrow so on the healthy food.

miloarmadillo. Blimey you ate really healthy today, you can be the healthy food guru!

sevennationarmy that must be little in calories today so you are on to a good start!

notsoskinnyminny you have a girly getaway in July that is such a great motivator, I'm a bridesmaid in July so I know exactly what you mean, we have a target!

tinybellows just remember how great you felt when you were thinner, I know that feeling we can do it again we did it once.

twobambinos welcome, do you find 3 meals a day works for you? As I struggle with breakfast and I swear it makes me hungrier?

Mrstumbletap i started on Friday so already in the swing of things (or at least trying to be)! I'm also trying to drink plenty of water but I'm never good at that. I know exactly what you mean about only having a stone to lose - to me a stone is a huge amount so glad to have others to buddy up with!

Yesterday was an ok day for me.
Tea, porridge and seed mix for breakfast.
Was v busy at work and rushed at lunchtime so had a ham sandwich and an apple, not quite the sirt-fest I was planning.
Salmon, potatoes and veg for dinner.
Had some friend round and one brought little oat, cherry and pumpkin bites, was restrained and only had two (surely one of my 5 a day?)

I'm in - somehow I've piled on 20lbs in the last 18mths Blush

I'm 5,3" and 10 stone - heavier than I was the day before I gave birth to my youngest.

I've fluctuated between 9.11 and 10.5 over the past few months but I need to put the 9s & 10s behind me and get back to 8.9

trouble is I still have a house full of Christmas chocolate

Littleoddfeet · 05/01/2016 12:14

Having a sirt-tastic day today. I made the 'green juice' at lunchtime (kale, parsley, rocket, celery, Apple, lemon juice and water) and it was surprisingly palatable. Had a few red grapes as a snack and have made Bol sauce for dinner, including celery, red onion, olives and chilli. Had a espresso earlier.

I reckon that's a 'sirt count' of at least ten, and I bought some blueberries to go on my porridge tomorrow. Yum! Shame I'm doing dry January or I could top it off with Wine

How do you make your fajitas seven? Do you use oil when cooking the peppers/onions/chicken etc? What about the cheese and sour cream?

Mrstumbletap I do use oil but only a little bit to fry off the chicken and veg, I use a fajita paste so don't need too much. I sometimes use lettuce leaves for fajita wraps but normally just the sainsburys be good to yourself wraps (which are just smaller versions of normal wraps as far as I can tell). Also don't eat cheese which helps a lot, I'm using my fitness pal so just put everything in there and hope for the best! Fajitas are pretty good calorie wise I think, as long as you don't have loads of extras which are of course the nicest bits!

Good luck for the rest of the week, well done for doing your bit to get the last of those ferrero rocher gone from the house!

'Sirt count' = term you never head of because I just made it up. I'm loosely following the idea of the sirt food diet. Sirt foods contain chemicals in a group called sirtuins that affect your metabolism, switching it towards fat burning and building lean muscle. It's possibly one of the reasons why Mediterranean diets and Asian diets are good for you. There is a 7 day diet based on 3 green juices and one sirt food packed meal for 3 days, then 2 juices and 2 meals for 4 days, but it's a bit hardcore for me. They are all healthy foods so I'm going to do one green juice (and if it fills me up use that as lunch - worked ok today) and try include some of the ingredients in my breakfast and dinner. I started a thread about it in this topic which has some links if you are interested.

mrstt ( great name by the way, we love MrT in our house) may I comment that you are not eating much actual food? I'm not surprised you can't resist the FR in the evening. It's not good in the long run to starve your body of nutrients. Sorry if that comes across as sanctimonious, it's not meant to.

Thanks Mr Tumble is my DH Wink

Please feel free to have a go that is what we have signed up for on this thread, we need a tut tut, to remind ourselves we shouldn't eat crap!

But- I forgot to say I had a tuna roll for lunch. I haven't had dinner, which I know isn't great, but there was a Tupperware of cheese in the fridge that needs to be eaten but it is actually gone now. Blush. How are you all being so good?

I am going to have a proper dinner tomorrow, chicken stir fry I think with as little oil as possible.
