Sorry if this has been done before but as anyone done both? I lost 4 stone on Cambridge a couple of years ago..have put a stone back on and tempted to give Exante a go as cheaper and more variety..are the products like? Any feedback either way? Tia!

I haven't tried Cambridge but have had Exante before.

My experience was that the shakes were ok with added sweetener but the meals were horrific! They may have improved them since I tried it a couple of years ago but if you like Cambridge, I'd stick with that.

I didn't like Exante products very much. My favourite (if I can have a favourite VLCD!) is Slim & Save. Cheaper than Cambridge, plus you can order online and they usually deliver within 2 days. Products are nice (for a VLCD)

I am doing Exante, it's very good value. The products are a bit variable, but you get used to them and find which ones you prefer. I like most of them, but I did have a shake from a special mystery shake pack they did as a novelty and I think it was cola flavour, a bit weird!

I went ahead and ordered the 84 products for £80. I hope they're not too bad now! Xmas Blush

I'm sick of Cambridge products tbh, plus it's very expensive.

Fingers crossed...Thank you for the feedback everyone!

I like them, plus having all those products makes me feel I have to stick to it. I have now lost 46lbs on it.

That's amazing laundry glad to hear it can work!

I've had an email to say it's being delivered today so going to start on Friday so I have the first hard days at home rather than be grumpy in the office!

My problem with Exante is that the products contain loads more carbs/sugar than Cambridge so I never managed to get into ketosis Angry

That is true about the carbs being higher, and I do sometimes get a bit hungry, but I have managed to stick to it most of the time and not had any binges. Also I have felt quite healthy after the first few weeks of head aches and tiredness.

I missed the delivery so it's coming to my local post office tmw. Am excited to start but may have had a naughty few days in 'preparation' Blush

That's what I did! Good luck when you start. The first few days can be quite difficult but you will soon get used to it.

The more sugar you eat in the lead up, the worse the detox will be when you start. Saying that, I once started Cambridge off the back of Dominos, doughnuts, chocolate, crisps and a load of gin so I can't be taken seriously Grin

I was genuinely I'll when I first started Cambridge with carb withdrawals I think. It was awful! I've been eating generally low carb for a while now so fingers crossed I don't get that again! That was after a Chinese the night before too Grin

So far I'm mostly just impressed by the variety. Odd after taste on some things which I'm not a huge fan of but I'm enjoying the novelty of new things to make using powder!

I only lost 2lb in that first week. Disappointed! Sad I think because I've done these diets so many times now they're less effective? I had to come off it then because I was really fun down and picking up anything and everything. Back on it next week!

Good luck everyone!

I haven't started yet Blush tbh, I'm thinking of using these products to do the 5:2 diet then skipping breakfast (based on other thread I was reading) and generally eating low carb/healthily on the non fast days. I want to go back to the gym and I struggle for energy on 800 cals a day!

I may change my mind again next week however... Confused

Yes it's difficult to know what to do isn't it? I like SW for maintaining but although it worked very well for me in the past, since the dc is hasn't.

I have also done fast days and I do find they are good for reseting my appetite. Which I really need after the last 15 boxes of chocolate 2 weeks.
