I need a massive kick up the arse! Weight creeping back on again...

Worked so hard to lose 2 1/2 stone. Fair enough it came of quick but it was a massive amount for me to lose and I felt great. Treated myself to loads of lovely new clothes (90% of my wardrobe is new and everything else thrown out) but had stayed the same for the last few months.

I still need to lose a bit more but was loving going into trendy shops and knowing I could fit into my "new" size and was much more confident in myself.

I was finding it easy to stay the same while hoping to get right back into it at some point but I've had a busy few weeks and have just weight myself and have put on about 5lb sad

I'm so pissee of with myself as I can feel old habits coming back and if I don't get a grip now it'll be half a stone then a stone then I'll be back to where I started.

Tomorrow is a new day but I can do with a bit of an virtual kick up the bum or some words of encouragement. Feeling really crappy just now.

It's disheartening for you to see that you've put a few pounds back on, but it's less than a fifth of what you lost, so it's not a disaster! Give yourself the kick up the arse you say you need and start back on track TOMORROW. It's the start of a new week, so see what you can achieve in the next couple of weeks, or the next month.

It would be a shame to find you were struggling to fit into your new clothes, so perhaps see this as a mini 'wake up call' - showing what can happen if the new habits are let slide. Seriously, just take yourself in hand, don't allow this to take the shine off your overall weight loss, and get right back on the wagon.

You WILL be able to lose those five pounds. Just harness the determination you must've had to lose the weight in the first place!

Good luck!

I'm with you! I've lost 4 stone but 5/6 lbs have crept back on, even though I've another stone to go ideally. I'm very cross with myself, but it's just time to get back on the wagon and back to better, less lazy habits. I'm doing Julyathon (on the Juneathon thread, just to be confusing!) if you want some exercise buddies.

Thank you, new day/week so that's me right back on it. Have felt so sluggish and drained the last few weeks as well with all the junk so hopefully knock that on the head as well.

It is so easy to put weight back on. One tip I can give you is to climb on the scale every day. If you notice a pound has crept back on you need to spend the week being extra active and vigilant on the food front.

I lost 4stone 15 years ago. I have fluctuated up and down by a stone or so since but I never went back over a size 12. I have to work on it all the time though. Without constant vigilance I would be fat again in no time.
