Why haven't I lost any weight?

For the past 3 weeks I have been doing 1 - 1.5hrs of moderate/intense exercise 5 days a week. I have had 2 slices toast or porridge for breakfast, fruit at lunch and a normal tea (spag bol., chilli, etc). I drink a bottle and a half or wine over the course of a week. I am currently not overweight but want to lose half a stone. Where am I going wrong?

I tend to hang onto my weight and then suddenly 6 weeks in it starts to snow.

Cut the wine. Drink 2 litres of water instead.

You're probably retaining fluid.

Eat a proper protein based lunch instead of fruit. 1200 cals is usually a good daily amount. Use MFP to make sure you're not eating too much. Weigh everything.

Oh and before anyone comes on to say it, starvation mode does NOT exist.

Well done on the exercise. Keep it up. You must feel better for it regardless of the weight not going down?

Thanks for the advice. I do feel great for the exercise, it is so worth it just for that.

I definitely agreeing with weighing everything and logging it on MFP for a while. You don't have to do it forever, just until you get the hang of portion sizes. It's amazing how small a bowl of porridge counts as a 'serving'. Same with pasta and rice. Bananas are very high in calories and carbs too

I exercise a lot. I also use mfp to log what I eat. I used to weigh food religiously, but now don't have to. I was very shocked at the difference between how many calories I thought ideas eating and I actually was. My portions are much more sensible.

I eat 1700 calls a day and still loose fat. I

You are not overweight, so it will be harder to lose weight.
Are you doing any weight bearing i.e. muscle building exercise or just cardio?
Were I you, and not overweight (I am), I would concentrate on exercising for fitness, strength and tone and just eat clean. If you are not overweight it doesn't especially matter what you weigh, more how you fit your clothes, and your overall fitness.
