How do you stop a mistake (i.e 6 biscuits) from ruining all efforts and turning into a full day binge. Could really do with some suggestions Sad Sad Sad

Just stop! In the past week I have eaten cheesecake, crisps, muffins that I should not have. I have done all that and more since January...whole pizza from take away etc. but each was a stand alone occurrence. I don't feel bad, but I stop. That is the change. I have lost 33 pounds this year and am still going strong. 1 stone more to go. Focus on the next healthy meal and exercise you will finish the day with!

Can you go out? Excuse to go for a walk, get a bottle of water or a paper?

Distraction works for me, anything as long as I'm standing up - once I sit on the sofa its a problem!

I'm trying to tackle the same impulse when I fall off the waggon.

I've made an analogy to think about when it happens. I work hard for my money. If I were to open my purse and count my coins and accidentally drop a £2 coin down the drain, I don't then think 'sod it, I might as well throw it all away' and tip all the coins down the drain.

I'm working hard to eat healthier and lose weight. When I eat something I later wish I hadn't eaten, I'm not going to think 'sod it, I might as well throw all that effort away' and eat even more.
