Is anyone going to diet after Easter? Let's aim for our summer holidays!

Hello I'm on holiday at the moment and doing a lot of eating in pubs and cafes. I was 11st 4, so at 5ft 4 very over weight.

So I've decided that after Easter I'm back on the diet wagon for next term. I want to drop 2 dress sizes before the summer holidays. Anyone want to join me?

Hello and welcome! I've just come back from yet another pub meal.... There is really no point in starting until we are back in the groove after Easter. I would love to be 10st by the summer holidays. Plan to do MFP and exercise.

Hi, can I join you? I'm 5' 6 and 11st 10. I've had my wedding anniversary, my birthday and Easter this week so I've pigged out and feel terrible. Not sure how much I want to lose but I want to get down to a size 10/12 (am size 16 atm).

Yay! The more the merrier. I think I need a real kick up the backside. Not only do I not look great at the moment, I know that I'm at increased risk from diabetes and heart disease as I carry the weight round my waist. (As well as everywhere else!)
Also see that I am fatter than most people I know. I just want to be average!

I've had a look at some of the 5:2 threads and they look pretty impressive. I don't know if I can do it. I work from home and the temptation to go down into the kitchen on fast days would be too much, I think. So, I'm going to try to restrict myself to 1500 calories per day and exercise three times a week.

I used to be slim but now when I look at photos of myself I realise that I am quite large.

The funny thing is that day to day I don't think of myself as being that big. But then I have a hard look at myself and realise that yes, I AM FAT.

Can I join in too please? I'm 5'9 and 15 stone, the heaviest I've ever been!

It is 10 weeks today until my summer holiday, so that is my motivation. My plan is to eat less and move more. Going to go for a long walk today to start me off! Smile

I'm going to start tomorrow, even though the DCs are still off, I'll weigh myself tomorrow morning. It will not be pretty.

My aim is to lose half a stone by half term, and a stone by the end of summer term. What are everyone else's goals?

I'd like to lose a stone and a half by my holiday, ideally, then just keep it going from there.

Luckily it's not a beach holiday, but I still want to look and feel better for it.

I will join you as well. Am
5' 3" and weigh 11st 7lb. It is a beautiful day here and that just reinforces how i want to look and feel better by the time summer arrives.

I'm in, have eaten so much junk over the weekend and we still have so much chocolate in the house!

I am going away this summer and just want to feel good.

II'm in too! Currently about 11 and a half stone at 5ft 4 and keen to lose another 1.5-2 stone of baby weight. I'm still breastfeeding, which makes me crazily hungry at times but I do need to start doing something because my weight has been static now for a good couple of months. I had success losing weight using my fitnesspal before I got pregnant so will do that again. Will probably aim for 2,000 calories a day to account for the breastfeeding - baby only 4.5 months so still doing several feeds a day.

Let's do this! I have a pair of size 16 jeans I desperately want to get into into so I can finally ditch the matern

Brilliant Obrigada!
How much would you like to lose?

I've been counting calories and frankly, I am astonished by how much less I have to eat to lose weight. I think that if I carried on eating as usual I woul be heading for major weight gain.

Anyway, weighed in at 11.2 this morning.

Things that have helped....
Admitting to myself that we have a very flattering mirror in our bedroom.

Realising that I am in fact FAT. I never really thought I was, but I catch sight of myself in shop windows and hardly recognise myself. I just think that I am not as heavy as I actually am.

Thanks Father, have given myself a goal weight of 10st 7lb - my heaviest weight last year (and for a few years) was 12st 12lb but due to undiagnosed thyroid problem I lost 2 stone. Now that it is being treated I have put weight back on Sad so this is my attempt at keeping it down.

Can I join? I am 10st 10 and at a shade over 5ft that's quite overweight. Currently wearing size 14 but I can see myself edging into 16 if I don't do something about it quickly.

I've tried Zoe Harcombe and 5:2. Both worked in terms of shifting weight but I am appalling at sticking to rules so they didn't last.

Snacking and Wine are my downfall so I will start there and try to stick to three healthy meals a day. I've also just started Zumba which is fun but I need to build in some other exercise too.

Looking forward to having some company on the journey Smile

Welcome Spangle!

I think that we will all need some hand holding. I have decided that I would love to actually be 10.6 by half term, which I think would take my BMI into the normal weight range. I reckon I would still look heavy as I carry all the weight on my tummy, arms, and face. Sad

I honestly don't know if I can do it as I have not been under 10.10 for about a year and a half, and the last time I was 10.6 was over 9 years ago, pre DC, but I'm going to try.

I had started exercising last term, but can't do anything in the holidays. It's only been 2 weeks since I last did anything, and I can feel myself getting unfit. Sadly, it seems that weightless is mostly down to diet, and that's the bit I really struggle with.

Can I join too please? I'm 5ft 4 and weighed 10st 9 the last time I dared to weigh myself a few weeks ago but that's definitely crept up as I've been appallingly bad. My clothes are all too tight and I'm caked excuse the pun in a layer of fat all over, I feel very uncomfortable at the moment. Ive just cancelled my ww subscription as I wasn't going to the meetings so was wasting my money.

I've just ordered a fit bit to motivate me to move more and am going to track with My fitness pal. I'm also going back to the gym when they kids go back to school.

My son is making his communion in June so I'd like to have lost a stone by then!

I know that fat all over feeling. It's not nice, is it?

I went swimming with the kids the other day and nearly couldn't get into my swimsuit. It was a depressing moment in the cubicle as I desperately tried to get my tummy encased in protesting Lycra.

Hi everyone!

Has anyone started 'being healthy' yet?

I've been for 3 walk/runs in the last week and have eaten healthyish for the past two days. I'm really hoping I can lose at least 2 stone by August when we go on holiday to Spain. I can't actually believe how heavy I am. Heavier than my non-pregnant self has ever been.
