Hi I don't normally post on here but after a week of eating really well compared to my normal rubbish eating habits I am sad to say I have not lost a single pound of weight and have no idea why!! This method has always worked in the past for me. To say I'm thoroughly depressed about it is an understatement. Any tips???

Because you're eating healthier foods it doesn't mean that you're not going over your caloric threshold. As a rough rule of thumb (metabolism and hormones affect this) in order to lose a pound a week you need to eat 500 calories below your maintenance caloric needs.

Counting calories is not a good long term strategy but for a few weeks until you get familiar with your average calories, I suggest you use a tracking app or website. My favorite is 'my net diary' but there are many others.

Good luck!

Thanks, I would be surprised if I was going over, I spend most of the day hungry at the moment. I'm wondering if I have a slow metabolism? I will keep on going and hopefully see some results soon x

Have you dieted recently or did many crash diets in the past? Those can seriously slow down the metabolism.

Are you doing any exercise?
