I'm on my first ever diet....

I was hoping I could use this as a sort of diary for the week if that is ok? I don't know if there is a section more appropriate than this?

I have had a really unhealthy relationship with food in the past, when I used to model, my weight was around 6 stone.... I am (as of today) 12 stone 2lbs. So double what it was (tbf, that was 6 years ago and a baby later!) I'm 5ft 2 by the way.

I used to use diet pills and just not eat, and since having DS I have really gorged on food, mostly through knackerdness. I really need to get back to a healthy weight - I'd be chuffed with 10st, but I want to do it in a healthy way and feel better.

I've decided to do a 3 day juice diet to kick start me and detox, then swap to maybe a juice for breakfast and lunch and then a proper meal of meat / steamed veg etc in the evening.

Exercise wise.... I was thinking of trying to do the shred again, but I'm worried if I go too hardcore I will give up. My willpower is zero!!

Does this sound achievable and sensible? Because I've never done a "proper" diet (as opposed to just having diet pills) I am not really sure how to go about it. Any tips are welcome, but mostly, I just wanted to have a public record of what I am doing as I know I am going to find it hard.

Hi. I've also doubled in size (thanks to meds) and back again over the years with similarly disorganised habits. Am trying to knuckle down to a plan of 3 meals and 3 snacks a day, with some support, although not trying to lose weight but stabilise my eating and be a bit more mentally normal.

The juice fast thing sounds like more yoyo dieting stuff, I think if you had 3x 500 cal (ish) genuine meals (with protein, vegetables and or fruit) a day and ate regularly and built some more physical activity into the day you'd start losing weight. This is the only healthy way really. MFP might help you too.
