Marking place in new thread.

I have been able to stay away from bread and fizzy drinks since Wed. I have a thunderous headache and I am grumpy. Withdrawals?

My weight seems to stick around the same mark, and fluctuates 1-2lbs either way. I could have a great few days and find I have put on 2lbs. Confused

Thanks for the explanation! I had no idea about the guinea pigs.

We have done well haven't we GoodLady. Its only when you stop to think how far you have come you realise that its so easy to get focused on the short term bad days/good days thing you forget the long journey.

LittleDoris - have you tried drinking lots of water? I always get the same when I am trying to clean up my diet again and drinking lots of water helps a lot

I have to remind myself to drink. It could be that, I have the water beside me, but I never drink enough.

I shall make a more conscious effort.

Massive power cut at east prevents me from cooking anything tonight!! :)

Soup for lunches in the slow cooker, full weeks meals planned and my weeks' work schedule planned to enable me to fit a walk in each lunchtime (I work from home and food is always available and I usually have nowhere to go!)

I CAN do this!

Good luck Helen

Thanks for the weight summary Sirzy - I need to lose a Sony Widescreen TV but will settle for an elephant's penis Hmm Grin.

Sleeping hope your power is back soon.

I've stuck to diet/healthy eating and have done a little bit of exercise but hope to get into more of a routine when I go back to work next week (although am dreading it).

I'm so indecisive (probably why I don't lose weight permanently), and despite 5:2 not working for me, am still tempted to try 4:3 because I did find the 'fasting' way the easiest to cope with. Has anyone else tried the slightly more brutal way (am not sure I could come with alternate day fasting...)?

I need to loose an elephant's penis.. Surely that should be an average elephant's penis I would imagine the size varies as in humans ;) I probably need to loose an especially well endowered elephant's penis.

I love the idea of the 5,2 diet but as I am still breast feeding I don't think my milk supply could cope with the fasting days :( Maybe when if ds weans.

I need to lose a car tyre - LOL - very accurate, as one seems to be sitting round my middle!!

Started 2014 with a trip to the gym, and then swimming today. It's a long hard slog isn't it?! Especially when the leftover Christmas chocolates are there waiting to be eaten.....

I have about a bald eagle to go!
Today okay day, did 10k run but went out for lunch, choose heathly seafood main option, resisting huge lovely roast, then fell st the dessert hurdle and had 3 profiteroles. However was so full just had some olives for tea so maybe not too bad a day.

I need to lose a Irish Setter! Or probably the same as my old fat labrador Grin

Great way of marking it though, will be checking back in.

Thanks for starting the new thread, Sirzy. I appear to have put on a car tyre over the past month. Yikes.

But I think I'm finally back on the wagon. Just couldn't seem to resist the high-carb 'treats' on Friday or yesterday, no matter what I did. However, today has been much better. Brunch was a tomato and mushroom omelette with salad, and dinner was a grilled chicken fillet, and mountain of steamed veg with a few lentils thrown in (literally). Three apples for snacking, and that's been it. I think I'll go to bed now before anything bad happens!

Best news, though, is that when I did my shop in Sainsbury's I managed to walk past the half-price hot cross buns (yes, they started selling them on Wednesday) without giving in. My old trick from last year of making myself think not of the pleasure of eating them but the feeling of guilt afterwards swung back into place. My fingers are crossed very hard that I can keep it up. I was beginning to think my addiction had me beaten.

Hello hello. Well today is the first day of me being "good again". I was away with friends over the weekend and had lots to drink, pizza and we went out for dinner.. and I caved and had a quality street. Squeak.

Saying that, a couple of friends kept going on about how much weight I'd lost. Does anyone else find that a strange mix of gratifying and uncomfortable? I kind of didn't want to say how much I'd lost because that would reveal how much I weighed to begin with, and I have so far to go!

So yes, going to stop off at the supermarket later and get some lovely veggies later for dinners this week!

Hello.
Mind if I join?
Last year (from about March ish) I decided I need to lose a load of weight (I really do, about 6-8 stone in total). I have been eating better and exercising (I even tried running a few times...get me!).
I lost 3 stone by the end of last year (A microwave yay!), and just looking for some support to shift another this year...

Welcome Filimou and Happy Birthday for tomorrow.

Unless it goes disastrously wrong this week, I should lose 2lbs or there abouts. Loooonnnng way to go yet but, more importantly, I have felt really good this week with the extra exercise and healthy eating - doesn't seem fair that I still look the same as I did a week ago (+ one huge chin spot Angry).

Good luck this week all!
