I would love some thoughts on my situation. After my son was born I got back in shape through running, the gym, videos like shred and by going to a boot camp. After my daughter was born I was just getting back into these things when I became very unwell, I was off work for six months with post viral fatigue.
Recently I have been trying to get back to my old exercise routine but each time felt very unwell for days afterwards until my dr told me I needed to rethink for the time being if I want to fully recover. She suggested yoga which I am loving actually and I now do some every day. I certainly notice a difference in flexibility and just in how I feel mood wise now I can at least be a bit active again however I am about half stone heavier than I want to be and I still have a big baby belly.
I avoid calorie counting as I have history of eating disorders and I don't want to go there again, but have really relied on high impact workouts to stay in shape. I don't think my diet is too bad. I don't drink or eat wheat as it triggers my ibs. I usually have a greens smoothie for breakfast, some kind of salad based thing for lunch - with eggs, tuna or avocado for example. Tea we might have fish or risotto. My one vice is dark chocolate, I usually have a couple of squares a day (4 on a bad day!). I snack on oatcakes, peanut butter, green peas or carrots.
I would love to look a bit less pregnant but is there a way to do this without running, high impact stuff? Or is my diet need needing a change?
