30 Day Shred - DVD just arrived ... anyone else about to start?!

So, after all I've read, the DVD and the weights have arrived....

Later today I plan to begin.

In 30 days I will be toned, have lost this extra stone, feel awake instead of in need of a nap all the time ... etc etc etc.

Right now just getting through the first one would be a victory! Anyone else desperate and mad enough to be starting this....

If your poorly give yourself chance to recover. I really couldn't be bothered tonight and only did a half assed job, then ate two cornettos. I have been having a period for 11 days now though so feeling sorry for myself.

Day 18 today. Seriously wondering whether to move to level 3 in 3 days as planned cos I'm on the Anita version of most things and can't complete the very last exercise of plank twists at all! I do 20 plank twists and then my arms give up so I do cycle crunches for the rest of the time. Anyone doing level 3 who can pass an opinion? confused

Goodto- I found l2 v hard too grin You do get used to it after a bit. I'm still doing the Anita version a week into it and even then struggle with the very last bit confused All those plank holds! Will check out level 3 soon...

tinwe I agree cornettos are the medicine!

I did level 2 day 3 at 8am, it's hard. I was sweating buckets its hard. My arms gave up on the last bit too and I can't walk out and push up.

Hello, I'm a bit late to this but can I join you all?

I restarted this again today, I think I got to L2D5 last year. I gave up as I wasn't losing weight while dieting and went in a huff with myself blush

I'm now that heaviest I have ever been, so I started 5.2 diet on Friday and did W1D1 of couch to 5k yesterday.

I tried L1D1 today and it was horrendous sad, I really struggled and in fact couldn't last for all the jump rope sections or the squats with weights. Tomorrow will be better, won't it? <prays>

I'm undecided on whether to do day 19 this evening. Had a busy day and my dd is still up and has been bf-ing for the last hour or so. So I'm sat here boiling hot and dreaming of the ice cream in my freezer.

I know I'll feel guilty if I don't do it. But I can work doubly hard tomorrow morning..

I felt the same hairy, day 4 was a real turning point. Well done for sticking it out when sore.

I did ab attack today so will skip shredding, L2 day 4 tomorrow.

Come on Goodtoo and creepy don't let having the day off sway your motivation grin

Just did day 1 L1. I don't feel to rough at the moment, but will see how stiff i am in the morning! Surprised by how little time was dedicated to stretching at the end.

Didn't attempt full-on push-ups today. Will save that for tomorrow. wink

I did day 19 this morning. I much prefer doing it first thing. Feeling about ready for level 3 now. Haven't dared peep at it yet though!

Hi Selma - I was surprised about the stretching too but I've hardly had any aches so it must be ok. It is a good idea to do extra stretches if you find you are achey though smile

Hairy - I found counting helps me through the cardio bits. As they're 30 second sections she's normally done before I reach 30 so I can always see an end in sight. Also, the cardio bits are the areas I have seen the most quick improvement in, within a few days I could get through the cardio of level 1 without too much gasping! grin

Thanks for all the kind words. I'm going to tackle L1D3 in a bit. I'm not as sore this morning, tried a few extra stretches and seems to have helped.

Today's goal is to get through the first cardio bit without stopping blush. Tinwe I will try and count through them and see if that helps. I'm pretty rubbish at the side lunges with weights as well. Can't seem to complete all of those either.

Creepy Level 3 shock I have never even peeped at that. I have always given up halfway through Level 2! The clips on the DVD look terrifying enough!

Yay tinwe! I've flagged a bit today, I've done something to my arm and it's really hurting.

In better news though, my arms and legs are definitely more toned. I barely have bingo wings any more. Belly next please!!

I did about half last night and then the laptop packed up so I gave in and had a shower. Finding working in the heat ( high 30s) all a bit much tbh. Going to have a nap this afternoon while DD sleeps and DH entertains DS and see if I feel a bit more up for shredding tonight.
