So, after all I've read, the DVD and the weights have arrived....

Later today I plan to begin.

In 30 days I will be toned, have lost this extra stone, feel awake instead of in need of a nap all the time ... etc etc etc.

Right now just getting through the first one would be a victory! Anyone else desperate and mad enough to be starting this....

Yes i just did level one, i've done it before it's very effective.

It was much easier today so i'm out for a run now. Half an hour as i'm not that good at running.

I'm going on holiday in two weeks so it's a focused effort to shift a few inches.

Hi there, I have just ordered this, it arrives tomorrow, didn't order weights tho, do I need those? How are you getting on?

GoodtoBetter Thu 27-Jun-13 21:33:41

I'm going to start tomorrow I think, but I haven't bought it...youtube.

GoodtoBetter Thu 27-Jun-13 21:53:31

Do you think I can do it barefoot on carpet, I don't need trainers, do I?

BubaMarra Fri 28-Jun-13 12:10:27

I'm on day 6 of 30DS. My goal is to finish at least level 1 as I tried it last year and quit after day 7 grin. Hopefully I'll manage to finish the whole thing this time. Jillian is right, after 5 days you notice improvements in your endurance and strength.
I did it barefoot on exercise mat couple of times, so it is doable. Exercises seem to be bit harder as you don't have extra stability provided by the trainers.

the DVD has arrived... I'm not so much in for losing weight as going ROCK HARD in all the right places... being alert & awake without caffeine would be awesome too. don't have weights yet & not sure how heavy to go - would use 3kg or 4kg for gym use but I'm guessing lighter for this...

NachoAddict Fri 28-Jun-13 13:50:04

My dvd came so going to start tonight, I want to trim my mummy tummy and hopefully lose 10lb.

does anyone want to do a progress report, so how many inches lost at day 10, 20 and 30 kind've thing? I will start :

Start - 122lb
Bust 36"
Waist 32"
Hips/Tum 38"

I will post new measurements on day 10 to see if I am progressing.

Sorry to hijack your thread OP and tell me to bog off and get my own if you want!

GoodtoBetter Fri 28-Jun-13 14:32:27

No, that's great Nacho, I'll weight myself, but not sure I'll manage to measure. Going to attempt it tonight with the youtube version in barefeet smile

NachoAddict Fri 28-Jun-13 16:38:57

Good Luck grin

If I don't post back then I haven't survived day 1....

GoodtoBetter Fri 28-Jun-13 18:16:02

I'm waiting for it to cool down a bit....tis about 38 degrees atm (foreign parts)

MrsBertMacklin Fri 28-Jun-13 18:20:43

I'm going to join this thread, the last one I was on died after 20 posts.

I get really bored with DVDs, so I'm rotating Shred with 2 others. Today was Day 2 of Shred Level 1.

I lasted 5 days last time round, I really want to stay the distance this time.

GoodtoBetter Fri 28-Jun-13 19:58:14

enthusiasm waning.......

NachoAddict Fri 28-Jun-13 20:53:42

Come on Goodtobetter you can do it, just 20 mins. I have just done day one, wasn't too bad Haha <~~ wry laugh.

GoodtoBetter Fri 28-Jun-13 20:59:48

OK, just done it. HARD but weirdly I enjoyed it! Loved the rush when I finished. It works so well as each little bit is onl a minute or two, so when I thought I'd die, she moved to something else.
Found the star jumps hard (and have much worse pelvic floor than I realised blush felt like i needed a wee) and the butt kicks and jumping rope realy hard to do, well everything really smile But it's the first time I've ever "enjoyed" exercise that's not swimming or sex!

GoodtoBetter Fri 28-Jun-13 21:00:09

I weigh 71 kgs today.

earlymidlifecrisis Fri 28-Jun-13 21:12:51

Count me in - I will measure lumpy bits tomorrow morning and start after the shock has sunk in! Get lost, post-2-c-sections overhanging shelf

GoodtoBetter Fri 28-Jun-13 21:24:03

Might invest in the dvd....had to keep fiddling with laptop to see when lying down etc.

WeAreEternal Fri 28-Jun-13 21:30:08

I should start SHRED again, it has been a long time while since I last did it, and I could really do with losing some weight.

I will do day one tomorrow.

GoodtoBetter Fri 28-Jun-13 21:35:35

Was it good for weightloss Eternal?

Kirk1 Fri 28-Jun-13 23:36:07

GoodtoBetter, I can't do the star jumps or jump rope without wearing a tena pad either. I'm hoping the problem will improve with exercise ...

Anyone know what weight the hand weights should be? I've been using baked bean tins, don't know what weight to buy.

GoodtoBetter Sat 29-Jun-13 06:46:33

I used tins as well kirk The weights looked quite small....

The last time I did the full 30 days I also did 60 minutes of cardio a day (a 30 minute run in the morning and 30 minutes on the exercise bike in the evening).
That along with eating healthy and I lost 17lbs and toned up a lot. I dropped nearly two full dress sizes.

GoodtoBetter Sat 29-Jun-13 14:42:43

Sore today...mostly legs.

cantthinkofanythingwitty Sat 29-Jun-13 14:46:57
