Hi crystal, what good timing, I am just going on Thursday to join my local class!!! Would be fab to be able to talk about it on here....I have loads to lose and it'll take me ages; at least 3 stone Sad

My weight really went on in 2000 when I was in a really stressful job and just seemed to overeat to try to make myself feel better - or not even overeat really, just the wrong things! I then got pregnant when I'd already put on two stone, not a clever thing to do!

So here I am with three stone to get off but I am determined. Will keep this thread watched!

Hi! I have just come back from my first meeting feeling quite pissed off as am 1/2 stone heavier than I thought... so now need to lose 1.5 stone which seems a lot more than I had expected... would be great to talk to you as my motivation is very hit and miss this is the 6th time I have joined a slimming club and this time it has to work or rather I will make it work... first target is 4 weeks when on a business trip want to look better!!

just wanted to say hi manc, tho have to go straight out now! Sorry to hear you have more to lose than you thought.....but you are right to look forward to the business trip, I'm sure little targets along the way help..

I'm going to try not to look too far ahead, just be glad for every pound that comes off as I feel every one will make me look and feel better!!!

you are right to focus on small targets I am hoping to lose 7lb by the business trip should be achievable... I am just reading thru the stuff and I know that I am going to have to be super organised to do this... writing out lists of stuff to buy and menu planning -- looks like the way forward has to be regimented...

I joines 4 weeks ago and have lost 10lbs so far. I have another stone and a half to go. I have a hen-do coming up in July with a load of beautiful slim girls so I have a lot of incentive. Got a 3mth old and am finding that I hate the way my body looks at the moment.

Are you doing the points system Crystaltips?

Report
sparklemagic · 23/05/2006 15:55

oh, well done chloe, 10lbs!!!

What I'm dreading is counting points as do loads of homecooked food for DS and counting the points in a certain portion of home made fish pie or whatever is going to do my head in. Sad.

But feel determined to do it this time, I've tried before with some success but not since birth of DS!

Joinig WW was one of the best things I've ever done. Been a member for 10 months and lost nearly 3 stone. Got another 2 to go until I reach goal.

My advice - stick with it and remember to enjoy your food. Is anyone doing No Count?

hello, I started ww last week and have lost 2lb since then. have a stone to lose. did NoCount last week but am doing Points this week to see what it's like.

Any tips? Good snacks etc?

I have been a bit bad this week - have been poorly so haven't really put much effort in, I have a bbq (I know, the weather's crap) this weekend so will have to be really strict with myself.

Dinny - I have to have a glass of wine on a night so I always get a couple of bottles of WW wine in as they are 1/2 the points of a normal glass.

Also if you are a crisp fan then Walkers Lites/Golden Wonder/French Fries are all fairly low in points.

If you are doing the full count do you write down your points? I do most of the time but when I don't and then tot it up in my head at the end of the day I have always gone over.

Crystaltips - I haven't forgotten about the book, just haven't been to post office yet Smile

I am finding it so hard - I travel all the time with my job and finding the right food on the road or in hotels is quite hard -- especially when the alternatives on offer are usually so fabulous.... am really going to try over the weekend whilst at home and do loads of exercise as well.... guess this is going to take a long time....

Hi...have just joined W.Watchers club but am wondering whether or not its worth laying out more money to join Esource. Any advice ? I have 4 stone to loose and am dreading it !
Cheers.

Hi dirtywombat, I think it's all down to the individual with what works for you, but I know with me the main thing that works is the physical going down to a class to get weighed - it's that that makes me keep religiously to my points, so I prsonally wouldn't feel the need for naything else, but Esource is new to me so it may very well be worth doing....

btw I have over three stone to lose so will also be doing this for the long haul...best of luck!
