When are we starting? Now?

Right did my first 50 Smile My left knee clicked every time Grin I'll be interested to see how I look after the 30 days, a few years back I did squats and my thighs started to look really good.

Is it just normal squats or a variety of different ones? Do you use weights? I imagine 250 squats takes quite some time...

I'm in! I've also signed up to a 10 push up, 50 sit up thing a day too so I'll add this in! My figure is ok, but my bum is massive!

Ooh I'm game for this. I may not be so keen after day 1 though Grin

I'm considering.....

Persuade me someone... I do them in shred but how should they actually be done?

I'm in! I'm 13 weeks post-baby and didn't put any weight on while pregnant (GD) but have more than made up for it since and now have inner thighs that rub together. Off to google. Good luck everyone.

Good am delighted to have company! Planning on doing them during DD's nap, was going to do normal "feet shoulder width apart and hover bum over imaginary chair" type squats, but I've read that you can do fancy ones with weights or even jump squats....

Weights sound good, like on the shred isnt it? (vaguely recalls doing the shred... Blush )

Maybe I should do the same amount of crunches or something too

Report
catanddog · 19/03/2013 12:08

was thinking of adding the crunches too - think doing squats with weights 100 times might kill me!

Ok normal weightless squats for me plus the same number of crunches!

Ok I'll do the crunches later, prob this eve as Ive just eaten and Im off out shortly. Tomorrow I'll attempt the squats with weights but I cant see that happening every time... Grin

Is everyone doing crunches?

Report
KatoPotato · 19/03/2013 13:10

I'll join! Could get very boring otherwise!!

Report
KatoPotato · 19/03/2013 13:10

We could mix it up and add oblique crunches on alternate days?

Report
ddsmellysocks · 19/03/2013 13:20

I'm off to try

Report
catanddog · 19/03/2013 13:20

Mixing up crunches might keep it interesting or do 10 normal, 10 oblique crunches to each side, 10 double crunches, and 10 reverse crunches, and then keep adding to them.

Ahem - health and safety here everybody Blush...watch your knees, especially when you are getting to later stages and doing loads of squats (and may lose form a bit). Make sure they stay behind your toes.

As you were...Grin Good luck!

i'm in !! just did the first 50 and DS2 told me I was wierd (nothing like support hey? Hmm)

up for doing crunches as well. My problem areas are my tum and my bum.

Report

Sounds good to me, I really need some motivation to get fit and a little bit of company would be wonderful....

Not sure how my knees will cope, I'm off to do the first 50 now, hopefully I won't get stuck mid squat!

Just one question, I feel its a bit of a stupid question, but what is a reverse crunch??
And are you planning to do crunches on same day as squats, and have similar rest days?

Bye for now, just off to do the squats, catch you later
