Hop over to the Bootcamp thread. Everyone on there is low-carbing.

Hi,I started it on Monday. I have also bought the recipe book that goes with it which is very good. We've had some lovely dinners this week!

Have to say I have never given up caffeine before and that has been awful,a constant headache!I am drinking at least 2l of water a day so it can't be dehydration.
I am also on the bootcamp thread but it moves very fast indeed.

12lbs?

That isn't really a healthy or sustainable weight loss. 'The Experts' tell us 2-3lbs a week is the way to go, if only to a) ensure it's fat you're losing and b) prevent your body going into starvation mode where weight loss becomes practically impossible.

Just saying, though am wholly supportive of your efforts.

Your body won't go into starvation mode on low carb diet Erebus because you are eating plenty of fat. And no, 12lb a week isn't sustainable however it is not unreasonable for a first week of weight loss on some diets (depending of course on your starting weight) when you'll be losing retained water and glycogen stores as well. I am no expert on this way of eating but the 'science' can be very well explained by others on here and is well supported by evidence from many ''experts"!

Great , glad to hear some more success stories regarding low carb.
I do have a really sweet tooth and I love bread. I have been great though no cheeting. I have the weigh in for end of week 2 t,Moro . Really nervous. I hope it's continuing to work. It does seem wrong about the cheese ?

The one that starts 'continued'. You have a bit of catching up o do if you want to read everything (we have filled a thread and a half since Monday - I think there are about 150 people taking part!). But if you jump in ow you can add yourself to the spreadsheet of fabulousness which is tracking our weightless. Everyone is very friendly and BIWI who is queen of the thread will be able to answer any questions. Actually, because everyone is chatting so much there is also a separate questions thread as before questions were getting lost among the chat. See you over there!!
