Hi all, I joined slimmig world yesterday as I finally ready and motivated to get this weight off. Anyone else? Is there a support thread for those following slimming world? As I couldn't see one on here. If not anyone interested in helping to support each other here?
Spooky. We had spag bol tonight. We (well, I) use a tin of chopped tomatoes & a couple of tablespoons of Doritos salsa (1/2 a syn per tablespoon). Makes it taste more like the Dolmio jars.
Hi fellow slimmers I'm new to the thread but have been doing sw since September, hoping to have a read through this thread and find some new ideas as at the moment I am stuck, have tried success express this week but don't feel any different!
I've decided that if I maintain again - would be my fourth week! - I'm going to ask my lovely consultant for the Fast Forward plan and try that for a week!
I lost 2lb very happy with that

Not sure what the Fast Forward plan is but there is a Success Express in the new books that came out in Jan - perfect if you need a boost - so sounds like the same thing.
Been really good yesterday and today. Decided to have a third of a can of Malibu and Cranberry topped up with diet lemo - had three sips then knocked it over the carpet - now have a faint pink tinge to my dark cream carpet - that will teach me!
Well done on the losses this week.
Just booked some Center Parcs activities - £135 later oops! (three activities and a restaurant booking)

First weigh in last night and I lost 1lb. Just 1lb! Usually would be really pleased by this but expected first week loss to be better. I think i followed the plan, will see what the leader says about my food diary. Anyone else a really slow loser? I have 4 st to lose and am so disheartened tonight :-(

I had steak and veg last night, was delicious. It's my sons birthday tomorrow so I will be having cake and wine, can't wait!
nearlyreadytopop welcome! I've been losing quite slowly, When i stsrted i had 3.5 stone to lose 1st week lost 2.5lb and following week only 0.5 and I follow plan properly. Main thing is its coming off. There was a woman I'm my group who lost 0.5 first week then 8.5 the following week so that may happen to you.
My bmi is no longer in the obese range. This make me feel good I have lowered my risk of health problems.

I started a thread appealing for a SW group as I'd somehow missed this one when scanning through.
I'll be joining my local group on Tuesday but I've already started following the plan. I was going to do it without the groups but I need my ass kicking and embarrassing if I don't stick to it...

2 lbs- amazing - i have really been trying to eat my a and b this week - so maybe it really does help
had my usual chinese, choc pudding, sb and crisps, so who knows how sw works - had about 90 syns this week
Well done Blondes! It's a mystery, I like to think that you occasionally have to shock your body with some higher fat/cal food to stop it getting used to diet rations. Or something.
(I think I should probably stop shocking mine, but I'm absolutely ravenous today!)

Had to laugh at my little Lauren today I have been in primark and bought a short maxi beach dress for the beach and maybe to stick over my cossie at breakfast on holiday and she said mummy that doesnt look very big I said I know it dosent but I did try it on and it fits so im very happy hee hee.
I did it! I resisted KFC, and Frankie & Benny's, and have just tucked into a big pile of fruit! I was going to eat it while I was out, but it was too cold to stand around outside, and the ice rink are a bit funny about eating your own food in there.
Plus, my dinner will be practically syn free tonight, my breakfast was my HE's, today is a good day.

Havent checked in for a while - been busy errr socialising so eating really , anyway today i weighed in and have put on a tiny bit of grammage which isnt bad considering i have had meals out, a visit to a chinese buffet midweek and a whole bottle of cava , anyway today i have sinned, in seven weeks i had my first scotch egg, it wasnt nice and i have learned me lesson. Tomorrow however i am out with the girls on a day trip to the local city which basically inolves visitnig many many hostileries and because i cant bring myself not to be silly i am sacking my diet tomorro until Sunday when i will get back onboard - to be fair i did buy coors light for the train...... Well done everyone though you read like you are doing good.
Gammon, baby new potatoes crushed with fat free fromage frais & chives and some sugar snap peas for tea. Only managed a nectarine all day (still a bit be-lurgied). Vodka in the freezer for some naughty syns in a bit.
Well, I've currently got some lamb marinating ready to make the SW Caribbean lamb tomorrow. Hopefully it tastes as good as it looked on the website!

Hello all. Checking in after a couple of weeks - weeks holiday and v busy week at work. Can report that over the two weeks I've lost another pound. Delighted as the hol had a lot of eating and more to the point drinking ESP beer which is disasterville on SW.
Back on the plan now. It's so cold though, and we have had a broken boiler (aaaaarrrggghhh) so it's rather chilly at home, and I am hungry all the time.
Any suggestions for syn free filling quick snacks? I have eaten four muller lights today, that can't be healthy. Fruit and veg not cutting it, spuds might do...
Well done blondes - try the same this week and maybe you will lose similar again!

Was doing ok this week until we went out for tea today! Was Toby carvery but stuffed in a whole yorkshire pud and two big spoons of cauli cheese. Skipped desert though!

I sts this morning but not too surprised. Was out last night though and it's my birthday tomorrow so it may not be the best weekend. However DH is away for most of next week so I am hoping that I can do a bit of exercise in the evenings which might help.
Just had SW fish pie for dinner which was really good.

L - Jacket potato and beans
D - fish pie and sweetcorn
Snacks - fruit, 2x Alpen light bars (heB)
Now drinking though - not quite so good

Hi I'd like to join too please if that is OK with everyone. I'm new to this site and I'm new to SW. I've spent all evening reading most your post's (still some to read) which have been a great help as I've no idea of how exactly SW works. A friend gave me the paperwork on SW she has lost almost 3 stone. My problem is my mobility so I will be trying to follow SW from the paperwork my friend gave me. Plus reading what people are saying here. I want to lose 4 stone, doing that would take me to 12 stone 4 Lbs weight still not great but my disability restricts me in some ways. I started SW one week ago, 2mor is a biggie day for me in the morning dh will help me weight myself and hopefully there will be a result, in my favour. I'm not expecting much of a result exercise is difficult for me to say the least and tbh I've not even tried that yet. I want to see if there will be a result without exercise first. It was great reading your posts, they were inspiring and informative. Best of luck to everyone. thank you

Soo, yesterday's food diary:
Breakfast:- scrambled eggs and 2 slices wholemeal bread (HExB)
Coffee with 2 sweeteners and dash milk (HExA over the course of the day)
Lunch:- wholemeal pancakes (not sure how this works, no oil used to cook. Water and eggs in mixture - HExB for the wm flour?)
Dinner/Tea:- Jacket Potato, 2tsps margarine, loads of salad and 2tbsps salad cream (then watered down).
Snacks:- a pear after lunch and a muller light at 7pm ish.
All in all, I'm quite pleased with that day
We're off shopping today so will be able to get some proper ingredients in to avoid chucking a meal together with things we hope will be ok. Have also done a meal plan for the husband and me next week consisting of SW meals, the kids will be having the same mostly too I think.
