Very simple really... need to lose weight and now i have a deadline. I plan to do it by exercising a couple of times per week, I belong to a gym but never damn well go! Am also going to cut down all food and, most importantly, wine! Not going to ban things, coz i know that makes me want them more if that makes sense??!! anyone care to join me and tell me off when I need it, and I will need it I assure you ...

I'm in. although I'm more two stone by MarchShock . I'm planning on joining the gym when my dds start back at school. I will probably be embarrassed, first time in gym since my teens, but I have to do something!

my deadline is half term as I'm taking children on our first holiday in five years, I don't want to be this big when we goSmile .

this week I'm slowly cutting down on snacks, weaning myself off all the Xmas extras, and next week I'll start to count calories. good luckGrin

I'm in, need to loose about 3 stone in total, want to go from a 16 - 18 to a 12 by August when I'm off on a hen weekend.

I plan to Shred next week, then lots of walking and trying to go swimming on a weekend. It is the snacking I need to cut down on too.

Got the Hairy Bikers diet cookbook for Christmas, it has some fab recipes in there. Also get back to logging on my fitness pall, and weight watchers as a last resort if willpower lets me down

Me too. SIL wedding in April and dbs in May.

Have at least 1.5 stone to lose, would rather get rid of 2 though.

Want to start running again (haven't since ds1 was born 10 years ago Blush )

I've downloaded the NHS Couch to 5K podcast onto my MP3 and I'm planning on starting when the dcs go back to school. Might look at the Shred too as its been sitting in the dvd rack since last Jan still in its wrapping

Beyond that I'm going to cut out the alcohol and reduce my portion sizes - I know if I deny myself anything I will fall off the waggon and binge so safer not to.

Im with you! Though I have 5 stone to lose [shameful].

I have set myself little goals in my head, I have an event in Feb, April, July etc so I will use them as my milestones.

Diet and swimming. I have mobility issues so am looking into exercise classes for that. I really want 2013 to be my year!

I'm in my best friend gets married in may and I'm bridesmaid. Need to loose at least a stone by then. Then it'll be my turn and hoping to loose all my baby weight by august (3 stone in total) I have to get down to my previous size as our DS was nit exactly planned and we'd had our wedding booked and planned and my dress purchased!!! Managed to cancel everything else but obviously couldn't cancel the dress!!

The thought of exercise when I'm completely shattered fills me with utter dread though so moral support much appreciated Wink

I am in but 2 stone by May!

I think I need to wire my jaw!

Am teetotal for January and lots of water. Haven't quite decided how to lose weight yet but am sure cutting out the crap will help!

Lots of lean meat and veg and fruit too.

Long time lurker here - desperate to loose at least a stone. Have joined a gym - not been for three months 😞 wobbly tummy and I have a whole suitcase of wonderful clothes that I want to wear. Can't afford to buy new ones and don't want to, just want to be my previous weight.

I need some help and support because I'm not getting anywhere.

I'm in. Lost 6 stone in about 18 months but Christmas has undone some of my good work. I'm seeing my DH the end of April and won't have seen him since early November so would like to have shifted at least 1 stone.

Think I'll head back to my fitness pal and start tracking my food and I really need to step away from the cheese!

amazing Firey! well done to you, how did you lose all that weight if it not a silly question? I 'happy ' to exercise but not prepared to give up wine 3 or 4 times per week which is really bad isn't it? :(

Starting the year with a healthy pot of soup today. start as I mean to go on. I've also looked at local fitness classes that I may joinShock

MABS- last year I lost two stone, cutting down on crap and exercise (1-3 times per week) and I didn't even think about cutting out wine. I am of the opinion that if a change isn't sustainable (and for me, cutting out wine is not sustainableWink ) then don't do it. you're setting yourself up to fail. Smile

Hung over and sleep deprived today, so decided to finish off the party food, luckily it was ham and salad mostly left!

Logging back onto MFP tomorrow and getting stuck in with the exercise. If I manage shred tomorrow we are off to the cinema as a treat :) I'll be the saddo munching cucumber and sipping water

I've just joined mfp- do any of you want to be my friend? I don't know anyone in rl that uses it, and I'm more likely to be good if I know others can see what I eatGrin
