How are you going to deal with the diet saboteurs this Xmas?

I lost over the last year and have recently put a few pounds back on, so I'm hoping to lose them by Xmas (with some help from the lovely Jillian Michaels).

I'm already worried about Xmas, because IL's and friends seem to get offended if I don't want to stuff my face.

I really don't want to start the New Year having to diet.

What's your strategy and how will you deal with the diet saboteurs?

Sorry, meant to say lost 1.5 stone last year.

Appologies as I'm mildly dyslexic and often miss out words when typing.

Good idea for a thread. It's easy to jump on the Christmas band wagon of over indulgence.

It's very easy, and I've been promising myself that I won't do it for the last 8 years or so! Each year I succumb to pressure and end up having the Xmas pudge to shift come the New Year.

Tbh I don't understand why I do it. I'm a grown up and if I want a roast dinner or choccies I can indulge myself at any time of the year. Confused

This year I plan to indulge, like I do on all holidays.

However I do get what you're saying - sil got very offended at my lack of cake and carb consumption last year, so I asked her straight out why it annoyed her - why it mattered so much to her, must admit I felt rather ratty when I asked but how bloody dare someone comment on what I eat, I wasn't commenting on her diet - of course she was being completely unreasonable, she was embarrassed and struggled to justify her little jibes and now she has shut up about it.

I am allowing myself christmas day/boxing day to indulge in high carb foods, then straight back into low carbing again. New year is easy with this way of eating, I have loads of low carb party nibbles and vodka & diet coke has no carbs.

Having lost 1.5 stones in the last month I'm adamant I'm going to have a low carb/low alcohol xmas.

Now I've just got to get that message across to my family. Who are Irish. Eeeesh Grin
