Grown-up 2 nights away - like Cowley Manor (but cheaper?)

Hi all,

I have 2 weeks off, as am going to be between jobs, and it would be really nice to go away with DH for 2 nights, without the DCs. We went to Cowley Manor a couple of years ago (in January - special offer!!) and loved it.

Can anybody suggest anything similar, within a 2.5 hours of South East London? Personally, I'm quite keen on the hotel having a spa but DH isn't that bothered. He can take a couple of days off work so planning to maybe do a Sunday and Monday night to try to get a good deal.

Parents live in East Sussex so near there would be good too - they will either come up to London to look after the children or we can drop them off with them there for a couple of nights.

Anyway - any ideas greatly appreciated! Thanks all!
