Want a city break! Country/hotel recommendations needed.

Please can anyone tell me about any city break they had that they loved? Would really love to get away for a few days, but am drawing a bit of a blank as to where to go. Do you have a country you love, or a hotel you really recommend?

Been to Bath 3 times now and am going again in march to celebrate a big birthday. try one of the spa hotels. Dublin was nice but v pricey. Nearly got to Cardiff once and that looked good to. Moscow highly recommended but quite a trek. you could do an orient express weekend.
