Paris in Jan/Feb/March?

Am thinking of taking DP to Paris in the new year.

He's never been, and although I have, never in the winter. Has anyone been around that time - what should we expect in terms of weather?

Any up-to-date accommodation tips also gratefully received!

Weather in Paris is similar to the UK so could be lovely spring sunshine or wet wet wet.
