Cottage sleeping 8 for girly birthday weekend or recommendaions for little towns with nice shops!

(9 Posts)

I'm looking for a cottage for 8 for a friend's birthday. Ideally with a pool or hot tub, with nice walks but also within easy reach of nice little shops.

Any ideas?

try bigholidayhouse.com or groupaccomodation.com for larger places to stay. if you want to go soon then try lastminutecottages.com We stay at Wringworthy Holiday cottages near Looe but not sure if this would meet all the requirements. When are you looking to go away?

It's the weekend of 8th July. Cornwall's too far I'm afraid as people travelling from all over including Northumberland!

Definately try bigholidayhouse or group one then i would say. These are country wide so you should find something to suit all of you. this is the start of the private schools holidays so you might find prices on this weekend are the highest. My girly weekends have a been a bit unadventurous with Bath being the best one so far and easy to get to by train and around when you are there. Heard good things from friends about Cardiff for a city break. What about booking a spa city break - means no one has to do the catering!

Did you find anything. Our gang of girlies are fed up of the boys going away all the time so are looking to plan a lovely weekend too.

The place I love is in Scotland - maybe too far?

No hot tub, but great little shops, the beach to walk along and a posh hotel nearby with spa facilities.
