Short wedding dress and church ceremony?

Are they compatible?

When I say short, I mean tea length full skirted 1950s style.

Will it be frowned upon?

Woman, wear what you want and makes you happy, it doesn't matter what you choose, short, long, traditional, modern, expensive or cheap, someone will ask a stupid question about it or frown.

Honestly, It is part of the show, do as you please. The dress is totally your decision.

I LOVE TEA DRESSES SO MUCH. I'm sure God will too. Flash some ankle and enjoy it.

Lovely - thank you! That's what I needed to hear. The dress was an utter bargain (£35 in a charity shop, unworn, just needed a minor alteration) and is lovely too, just had a minor wobble about "appropriateness"!

My aunt got married in church wearing a blue minidress (shotgun wedding, white not appropriate) around 1970, the church (and my aunt) is still standing.

Your tea dress sounds lovely. :)

I wore a vintage 1960s mini dress to get married in church this year.

My legs looked fantastic if I do say so myself - wear what you like!!

Well, in our church it would be longer than the skirts the vicar normally wears.

1950s wedding dresses also longer than my granny wore in 1924.

Have a wonderful day Flowers
