This pic was taken when I needed to lose 1 stone. I since got pregnant and put on another stone.

Lost the baby and now can't fit into wedding dress...

Booo......

I need a new wedding dress, don't I?!

Hi.

So sorry for your loss.

Those type of dresses can be difficult to alter, but take it into a shop and ask for advice as they may need to extend the material to cover your back.

Don't put too much pressure on yourself to lose weight. Have you already has it changed? Will the place you got it from allow a return, under special circumstances?

X

The dress hasn't been altered at all yet. I'm very hopeful that there might be some play/extra fabric in the seams.

The weight is already starting to come off naturally so I'm hoping that diet and exercise will help the rest of it come off.

The dress shop said they'd accept a credit note but take £100 off it. I only paid £490 for it!

You're right about not pressuring myself. I'm (unfortunately) in the mindset of 'I've lost the baby I need to be in this dress'. I have to do this. I'm already so sad about not being pregnant for my wedding day

I know how you feel, I got married last month and should have been 20 weeks. We nearly postponed the wedding, but glad we didn't as gave us something to focus on.

Good luck with your dress, its lovely x

Ah it sucks. I would have been 21 weeks. Scan on the Mon, wedding on the sat.

We've considered cancelling the wedding too.

What did you do about honeymoon? We booked something local because of baby, but now...

We were always planning on leaving honeymoon plans until last minute. So that wasn't an issue.

Hope everything works out well for you x

That dress is amazing. I bet its gorgeous when you move too. I love the pleats, really different yet still completely weddingy (should be a word).

Have a wonderful day, love each other and celebrate the strength that togetherness can give even in the most sad of circumstances.

The diet sucks. I've hardly lost any weight despite not cheating and exercising so a new dress is a good plan! Wink I love this dress more than my first. Dress two I bought when I was still grieving and it made me sad so went straight back to the shop
