Colour scheme is up the swanny

That's it really.
We decided on 6 bms, 6 gm and 6 flower girls.
So I made my colour scheme a rainbow. Very us. Very exciting.

Just after Christmas my friend flounced. I was asking her advice and involving her and was getting abuse, lack of interest and negativity back. So I grew a back bone (she has form with me) and told her that I was clearly being unfair asking her to be objective about all the things I was planning for the DC at the wedding she only ever said how things would affect her DC and I was being unfair asking her to do so so I was going to no longer ask her or involve her in the planning because she was upsetting me.
She's flounced. Not spoken with me since Christmas and wouldn't let me give her DC (my god children) their presents. She told me in Jan that I was "really shitty" and that she "needed space" I've basically been forbidden from contacting her.
Her 2 daughters were flower girls
Her son my page boy and was also going to do a reading of a poem he had written Confused

She's flounced and taken the kids.
I know I'm better off without her jealousy and attitude but I'm still so sad about it.

So. That drops me to 6gm 5bm and 4fg
2 less FG's now. They're at school and won't be coming over (from USA)
Groom has only asked 5 of his groomsmen because he knows this woman and expected her to flounce.

How do I make
Red
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Purple

Work with only 5?

I don't want to invite BMs for the sheer sake of it. I want my important girls who are supportive and wonderful and my 5 other bms really really are.

I was thinking about "blending" orange and yellow into a goldy colour but I don't want it to look shite. Hmm

I'm planning a red petticoat and red shoes with my dress... But would white with a little red and then orange - purple work?

15 attendants - id pick three colours max and split them across them. So red under your dress, Groom with red tie etc, your chief BM in red and one flower girl.

Then two more colours (maybe navy and gold)?

Tbh id just go down to one colour but its your day not mine Grin

With a bit of gold thrown in?

That's not really an option. EVERYTHING suits the colour scheme.

Also, we are really not single/usual colour people.

Split the colours round the remaining people - so 2 or 3 in each colour. And if you get a choice, what about shading them, so some dark and lights of some shades, so you can all stand in one big rainbow for some of the photos?

You could colour block all the bridesmaids (so it doesn't look like you're missing one). Either top/bodice in two colours, or a sash, or different colour shoes or something. The rainbow doesn't have to be in order.

Hacked I think you've got it...

May just pop the flower girls in traditional white with red sashes...
There's only 2 of them.

Rainbows are normally seven colours, surely? You now have 14 (!) attendants, so two in each colour....

You wear creamy dress instead of white = yellow. All others as before. Flower girls wear same colour as you, with rainbow ribbons in hair?

Why are rainbow coloured bridesmaids "exciting"?

A multitude of coordinated colours excited my eye more than a block of everyone in purple for example.

I am well aware that I have lumped indigo and violet together as "purple"
...I am also not teaching the visible spectrum as part of the day's entertainment so I'm ok about that!
