Would you use your engagement ring in place of a wedding ring?

I'm not a jewellery person but DP proposed at,Christmas and we're having a quiet wedding in September.

The only piece of jewellery I wear is my engagement ring and I'm not sure I want another ring (strange I know) so can I just remove it and have DP put it back on at the ceremony or would you find that rally weird?

It's entirely up to you.
Why not get another ring and stop wearing your engagement ring after the wedding.

Not weird at all, it's only symbolic, so it's what it means to you that's important.

Should say that's what I did. Not a jewellery person and chose a wedding ring that was slightly more decorative than a plain band as the intention was to only wear that after the wedding.

I did exactly that. For the same reason as you, I'm not really a jewelry person and I really love my engagement ring. Congratulation btw!

I'm not a jewelry person and we are having a quick registry office wedding without guests. So I haven't bothered with an engagement ring as we are not going down the traditional route, haven't "announced" our engagement etc. I'm having a wedding ring made, we don't want any fuss we just want to get married hence the "no wedding" wedding, so it is the only expensive element of us getting married, and will be in the style of an eternity ring rather than a plain band.

Thanks, I don't feel like such a weirdo now :o

Think I'll just stick with my engagement ring as its the only ring i've thought was quite nice and DP picked it by himself do its a bit more sentimental to me.

We are also going down the non-traditional route because it just wouldn't be "us" so registry office and a party with friends and family in the evening.
