Wedding cars

Just wondering how much you paid for your wedding cars?

I'm looking for 2 cars and the prices I've had are so different that I don't know whether the more expensive ones are a rip off or if I should steer clear of the cheaper ones in case it's awful!

Hoping I could maybe get some perspective!
Thanks

Also, has anyone skipped the tradition of having two cars?

Going from my mums house will be me, dad, mum and 3 x bridesmaids. I'm considering sticking two fingers up to tradition and just having one car for us all.

Anyone done this?

I'm having one car for me, my dad and 3 bridesmaids. The car I want is a 6 seater so would be pointless having two!

I have no idea whether any prices are reasonable. My dad says they seem quite good for the cars, so I'm just going on that!

For two cars we have been quoted £420, £520 and £535. Same two cars with three companies all similar distances away.

I want one car, but DP wants two.

We had a white limo which took DH, his BIL (best man) and his brother to the church. It then picked up me, my dad, maid of honour and bridesmaids (dd, dsd, and dnieces) and took us to the church.

Me and DH went in the limo to the reception and my dad, dd, ds and dsd went in my parents car and bils and nieces went in bils car which sil drove to the church in.

The limo seated 8 people and my mum and sil had to get to the church so there was no point spending an extra £250 for a second car when it wasn't needed. If there hadn't been plenty of space in other cars going from church to reception we'd have either got a second car or hired a minibus or something.

Skip tradition.

You don't need to hire special cars. No one even sees them. Or if you absolutely have to have a car, you can always just rent one from a nirmal hire car place, rather than some special 'wedding' car.

And family with an old sportscar or some nice bmws type saloon cars? I want my brothers ancient jaguar with a ribbon. Looks amazing!
