Could you please take a quick looksie? I like this dress a lot but not many shops are stocking it. Is it actually hideous? Is that why they haven't decided to buy a sample of this within their pronovias range? Am being super paranoid I know, but I don't have many people to ask who are unbiased. It's got to suit a pear shaped' size 10, 32 year old... Worried about it being too princessey!!

You are allowed to look like a princess on your wedding day I think.
It wouldn't be what I would choose but I'm short.
I think the dress is beautiful and the detail on the bodice is gorgeous and understated although there's a lot of it IYSWIM.

Yes, it's the amount of detail that concerns me. I always thought I was a 'lace' kind of girl but it just seems quite different. Something to ponder! Thanks Shaz! X

Wow. It's lovely. How tall are you?

its lovely, not too big at all, I also thought I'd get something simple and lacy - mine is was a massive sod off princess dress that nearly killed people on the dance floor! that is a point, netty skirts like that can't be bustled so they will swish all night, which while beautiful is a pita to dance in. you can pin up the skirt but it doesn't hold well and is hard to figure out - I had 2 bridesmaids, my mum, mil and 4 family members trying to figure it out. in the end I just went for killing people.

my only reservation would be the height of the waist if you are not tall - you are my hight and that waistline does not suit me at all - the dress pouffes out from the waist and is not flattering. try on some other similar styles to get an idea.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I am naturally high waisted and wide hipped - very wide hipped!! So was hoping this would hide that particular area! 2 weeks to try on day and I'm nervous! X

High waisted and wide hipped would probably suit this waistline actually, I am low waisted and narrow hipped and carry weight on my tummy (bang on the line of that waist) so this sounds like you are the complete opposite! good luck trying on - I miss the trying on (now, it drove me crazy at the time!) Yes think about 'ahem' toileting in that dress.
