On the back of my first post I just wanted to add that I did infact go back to get the very first dress I tried on in the first shop. So even though I didn't have any intention of buying I fell in love with one anyway
oh, I'm going to go against the grain here. I think it is a bit unfair (even though you have a tight budget) to use the 'bricks and mortar' dress shop in this way because you want to get a lower cost dress online If I owned such a business, I would be peeved that I basically served as a trying on shop for a competitor that I can't possibly compete with price wise as I have many more overheads (including champagne!)
Yes I did this. Although I didn't let on to the assistants that I had no intention of getting one from there. Just none of them were quite right. I think if you are buying online you need to do this really. To get an idea of sizing and to see what style suits you and what doesn't.
Yes I did this, and am pretty sure it is quite acceptable and normal to try on lots of dresses from different places, including places you have no intention of buying from.
You would do this with normal clothes shops, (or is it just me that tries on clothes in expensive shops with no intention of buying them, just for the fun factor?) so it is no different with bridal shops either.
My dress arrived last week, it was very scary opening it, but luckily it was perfect, fit me like a glove. It was slightly different from the photo, but not enough for it to make a difference, and I am very pleased with it and haven't spent stupid money on a dress I will only wear once.
Go to a wedding shop to try on dresses with no intention of buying 1?
Were trying to keep our wedding low cost so I've decided I want to buy mine online. I'm happy to do this and I'm going to order way before the wedding in case alterations need doing e.g.
I've seen a few I like but because I have no idea what they'd look like on, I've decided to go dress shopping to get an idea of what looks nice on me e.g. but I have no intention of buying any of them from the shop.
I'll proberly pretend I'm hoping to find one when I'm there to make it less awkward.. haha. Would/has anybody else done this?
